Beginning to look like Eriksen has few if any options. Levy rumored to be trying to offload him for 55-60m now. He's going to make our bench look good if he hasn't ticked Poch off too much.

On the other hand Toby continues to demonstrate why he deserves a decent extension.

Yellow Card

1.) 24 Jul 2019 22:59:15
Juventus like Eriksen.

2.) 25 Jul 2019 00:20:48
Dybala coming the other way by chance?

3.) 25 Jul 2019 16:35:07
I didn't say Juventus are getting him, just that they like him. I would be surprised if we got Dybala but there's interest, I would happily exchange Eriksen for him.

4.) 25 Jul 2019 17:43:33
If we got Dybala I’d imagine one Dele Alli would not be very happy.

5.) 26 Jul 2019 19:37:24
Guvnor that’s kinda like saying Cardiff City like Eriksen . they won’t get him either.

6.) 26 Jul 2019 20:19:00
Not really. I didn't say they won't get him either. By like I mean they have made contact about him.

7.) 26 Jul 2019 20:42:53
Guvnor I kinda understood that, hence my original response - both full of multiple variables and what ifs.

16 Jul 2019 18:52:19
Trippier appears on his way to AM, Toby maybe on his way to Roma and Rose not on pre season tour.

Are we really going to replace 3 of our regular back 4 starters in one window, seems a little risky to me.

Yellow Card

1.) 17 Jul 2019 05:57:44
Very risky but they seem confident we will sign Sessegnjn for Rose, To y leaving might leave it open for Ake and Trippuer is no better than Aurier, KWP or Foyth in that position.

2.) 17 Jul 2019 12:43:15
Sessegnon and KWP as starters doesn’t feel like an improvement, then again neither does Aurier and Davies.

Maybe Poch is looking to a back 3, Verts, Sanchez and whoever? Still feels like we’re going to be pretty thin in defensive quality and cover.

3.) 17 Jul 2019 13:40:57
Oracle you said ake was signing in January, what happened?

4.) 20 Jul 2019 23:44:27
He didn’t sign!

5.) 21 Jul 2019 20:18:17
There was definitely a lot of interest in Ake a while back. As I've said lots of times, transfers are complex affairs. We don't get to hear about a lot of the ones that fall through.

6.) 21 Jul 2019 21:48:57
But oracle said ake was definitely happening.

7.) 21 Jul 2019 23:25:24
Nothings definite until its signed in football.

8.) 22 Jul 2019 16:17:47
It’s the complete opposite when oracle posts.

9.) 25 Jul 2019 09:28:12
Has the transfer window closed yet?

10.) 25 Jul 2019 09:40:31
The transfer option for Toby Alderweireld closes tomrrow. I doubt anyone thought he would be staying with a measly £25m buy out clause. So if Tony is staying things are a little different.

Sessegnon remains a key focus and offloading Eriksen who has pissed of Pochettino is the biggest dilemma. Perhaps a swap with Dybala isn’t a disaster after all. He can play behind Kane at CAM if Eriksen goes and so can Kane for that matter if Dybala is seen as a better option up front. So not a crazy swap.

22 Jun 2019 20:01:07
Apparently it's all but done the first signing looks to be Yago de Santiago . yep me neither, another highly rated 16 yo prospect that will show up in the first team in 3-4 years time, maybe.

Yellow Card

1.) 23 Jun 2019 09:21:26
I thought we’d already already made our first signing,17 year old kion etere from notts county. Again another one we won’t see for 3-4 years.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 12:36:09
You’re right our big 200k signing had slipped my memory.

3.) 24 Jun 2019 21:01:09
The raver is dusting down his puma kings as daniel levy is keen on this soccer pin up.

4.) 25 Jun 2019 01:37:29
At the rate we’re signing upgrades to the first team we might need you to replace Jansen.

07 Jun 2019 11:50:26
That we've be linked with every midfield player of note this window is not a surprise.

But I'm surprised/ worried that we don't seem to be linked with any right backs that I've seen. Anyone have any thoughts or info, given that it appears we've been open to move Trippier on.

Yellow Card

{Ed002's Note - Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) won't be happening
Max Aarons (RB) seen as a viable option
Steven Sessegnon (RB/CB) another HG
Nelson Semedo (RB)}

1.) 07 Jun 2019 12:38:11
Thanks Ed002.

2.) 07 Jun 2019 14:16:55
Ed2, do you still see Ndombele as unlikely or has something changed? Media coverage seems to be increasing some on that one.

{Ed002's Note - Other clubs have stepped back but talks have been taking place with another side.}

3.) 07 Jun 2019 20:12:08
Is that side PSG Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

4.) 11 Jun 2019 11:53:07
About time Kyle Walker Peters was given a run in the team. Aurier is a good back up and Sessegnon will be able to watch and wait as his brother dominates the other side of the Spurs pitch.

5.) 11 Jun 2019 12:27:56
KWP is a long way from a top class RB, he has too many lapses of concentration for my liking. And Sessegnon didn’t exactly shine at Fulham in the PL. If that’s to be our wide defense next season we will be in trouble.

6.) 11 Jun 2019 17:08:09
Aurier is a liability, KWP isn’t premiership standard, and Sessegnon is a championship player. If we’re looking to push on we need to raise the bar. We need players that are going to walk into the 1st eleven. Have players like Deli on the bench (this is the kick up the arse he’ll need)

We need pace down both flanks. Along with passion, desire and work rate.

7.) 14 Jun 2019 12:58:25
This Sessegnon is a championship player nonsense needs to stop. He's 19 years old, has been a first team player for three seasons, played in one of the worst teams in the league, for three different managers and still managed 2 goals and 6 assists. Was Harry Kane a premier league player at 19? Was Heung-Min Son?

8.) 14 Jun 2019 17:05:03
At 19 Sessegnon is not ready to be starting full back for a top 4/ 6 team in the PL.

Our player contract management philosophy seems to be seriously unraveling.

Danny Rose stating publicly he will run his contract down, 18 months, then leave.

Yellow Card

1.) 13 Nov 2019 18:24:37
He won't be missed as he's bang average.

2.) 13 Nov 2019 19:03:55
No, but the 10-15 million he might sell for will be missed . and that takes it to 4 players currently seeming to be running their contracts down . including Eriksen, Verts and Toby.

That is a lot of lost financing for new signings.

3.) 14 Nov 2019 07:22:19
He’ll be sold. either that or put him in the reserves, which will result in his next transfer to a league 2 club. He needs to be careful himself coming out publicly and stating that. He doesn’t hold all the cards.

4.) 14 Nov 2019 11:13:40
It will be interesting to see if Rose vetos any attempt to sell him, in the same way Wanyama did in the summer.

One imagines its not good for dressing room harmony unless the manager takes a hard line and cuts them from the first team. Something Poch seems incapable of doing so far.

27 Oct 2019 16:20:09
Eriksen, Toby and Rose had better put a shift in today or we could be on the back end of another serious beat down. We're already a man down with Aurier in the starting line up.

Lamela out injured . again.

Yellow Card

19 Oct 2019 15:54:48
70% possession 1 shot on target in the first half against the team bottom of the table.

Clueless comes to mind, lucky not to be 2 down after Verts tackle in the box.

Yellow Card

1.) 19 Oct 2019 17:00:06
Pochetinho has to go for me, we've gone from champions league finalists to looking like a mid table side, Newcastle, Brighton, Watford over the last few weeks and won none of them combined with a hammering against bayern Munich, I want jose mourinho at spurs who will toughen us up plus win trophies something pochetinho will never do in his career.

2.) 19 Oct 2019 17:12:31
Stole a point . difficult to understand how Dele’s arm wasn’t ruled hand ball.

Interpretation of the rules, even with VAR, seems increasingly questionable.

14 Oct 2019 21:33:19
Crazy thought - watching Kane's performance in Bulgaria.

Should we drop him into an advanced central midfield role and play Son and Moura as advanced wide forwards?

And ditch Eriksen in the process.

Yellow Card

1.) 15 Oct 2019 13:29:18
Yellow - We have to take into account the opposition mate.
There's no doubt Kane has great vision.

I reckon me, you and the raver would get into the Bulgarian team.

2.) 15 Oct 2019 16:40:25
Fair point . I’d like to see us play with more pace and fluidity up front something Son and Moura (if given a run of games) might provide.

Kane’s goals from open play are beginning to tail off some over the last year - not that I’m advocating dropping or getting rid of him . but Poch needs to inject something different into the tactics to get us moving again.

3.) 15 Oct 2019 17:22:48
I agree totally. Give it a go. We definitely need a plan ‘B’’ we need some injection of pace.

I see they’re looking to sign Bruno in Jan.

Vorm signed, not sure what to make of that. pointless springs to mind.

4.) 16 Oct 2019 12:43:55
Vorm has to go down as “a better the devil you know” signing.

We need cover for Gazzaniga while Hugo is out. Vorm will sit quietly on the bench, collect his money and make no additional unrest.

5.) 16 Oct 2019 20:43:16
Dr the raver would get a game for the Bulgarian team lol, when I was in my teens most clubs around the country wanted the ravers signiture mate😎.

6.) 17 Oct 2019 19:27:48
Raver, the only firm that wanted your signature was the dole office when you was collecting your giro.

05 Oct 2019 13:04:38
Outclassed by Bayern I can comprehend.

2 down against Brighton after 30 minutes and looking like we will concede every time they attack . not acceptable.

Ed047 - no argument from me about the need to win trophies.

Makes me wonder if Jose’s appointment is a tactical move towards ENIC selling the club . everything else in place, training facilities and stadium . now need some silverware to complete the package.

Yellow Card

{Ed047's Note - who knows mate and I hear Mourinho has said you can win the league next season which like you say would complete the package.

Even as a gooner I think it would be great for you to achieve that with everything else you’ve done over the last few years.

Can’t claim overtaking Arsenal as success.

Yellow Card

{Ed047's Note - clearly you all have done which when you look at how pathetic Arsenal have been for the last five years minimum is zero to shout about.

Big clubs win trophies mate. A shiny new stadium and training ground counts for zip if you don’t put silverware on the table.

May 72 Alan Mullery lifting the trophy . my favorite team of all time.

May 81 at Wembley. standing behind the goal Ricky Villa worked his magic against City.

Not sure I’ll ever seen those days again.

DR - I don’t expect José (nor Levy) to have changed . so I’d agree with all you said.

Silverware . Carabo cup most likely, maybe FA Cup and the Thursday night cup before it goes bad. Qualifying for CL next season would have to go down as success based on how far behind the Top 4 we currently are.

Given that José is usually in and out in under 3 full seasons I don’t see the finances being there for a serious run at the PL, our defense needs to be rebuilt from scratch. Though if José implements his usual “ sit back and counter attack” philosophy maybe he can get another year or 2 out of Verts and Toby if they stay and don’t have to cover so much ground through a high press, they were never the fastest and they’re getting slower.

I have to admit the January transfer window will be a lot more interesting now . I don’t imagine Eriksen or Rose having voiced desire to leave will be feeling to comfortable.
