If we were to sell Adebeyor, Soldado, Lennon, and Chiriches, we would have squad space and with all the other sales nearly enough to buy Berahino, Bolasie, Sissoko and Austin, just saying! That would make me actually optimistic too!

And there you have it Raver. I told you. even though we were still outplayed in periods by rock bottom Norwich. Put the Champagne on hold, that was more of a Aldi's own Cava performance, but I will take 3 pts however and wherever they come.

Agree mate 3 points in the bag that's all that matters.

20 Jan 2020 19:37:52
Im just going to go out and say it. I think in Norwich at home, we may have actually found a fixture where 3 pts is possible! Raver I've not been drinking, you know mondays aren't days for the marching powder at our age either, i'm totally clean and of pure mind body and soul, I think we will win a game and it feels great! All aboard.

I'm going for Norwich to get at least a point against poor Tottenham, as for blue Monday it was a great morning for me as I went to a flat party with 2 classy Art students in high maitenance Knightsbridge, Henry the Hoover had nothing on them pair and they certainly put this 40 plus bloke through his paces in the bedroom 😎.

2.) 21 Jan 2020 21:02:15
Raver, you sound like Tamer Hassan in The Football Factory banging the granny out of some birds in some hotel til the small hours, then getting home in time for Sunday roast 😀👍.

3.) 22 Jan 2020 10:26:41
Spot on mate😁 Maggie Thatcher died in the Ritz and the raver will die in bed with 2 milfs.

As I said the other day, I still think finishing 8th and playing once a week for a season may really benefit us, for one year anyway. Our squad is really thin and I can't see the current regime spending anything to correct that so allowing the few quality players we have more time to rest between games would probably see the injury list reduced substancially and form much better as a result.

Its horrible, until this season with a game like todays I would be sat back pipe and slippers waiting for the 3 points to roll in.

Now i'm worried. We can't defend, we have no full backs, no keeper and nobody in the middle good enough to screen our back 4!

The ray of light from that shower at Norwich was Ndombele, he was different class and has massive potential so i'm rather hoping he will start although who knows the way we are going this year. Here is hoping!

We knew coming into the season we had no right back, In theory Rose and Davies, with Verts as an alternative was going to get us through a season on the left.

The midfield is a real worry, Dier never the fastest, is too slow. Sissoko a work horse, with little to no end product, Winks a squad player, Eriksen never did show up in the big games and now rarely shows up at all even when he does get on the pitch.

Ndombele has shown potential, LoCelso the jury is out, haven’t seen enough to suggest his price is value.

We’re carrying a lot of first team “players” that are not contributing enough . Lamela is a perfect example.

José knew all this before taking the job . now we will get to see the dynamic between him and Levy, this month and in the summer.

2.) 01 Jan 2020 12:31:31
Agree mv I fancy Southampton to turn us over today, I would keep kane, Ali, alderwereld, sissoko, ndombele son and possibly sessegnon and would get rid of everybody else who are bang average and will never take us anywhere, it's going to be interesting in the next few transfer windows under jose mourinho.

3.) 01 Jan 2020 13:37:20
Agree yellow, KWP will never be good enough, Aurier can do good things but ultimately costs us goals and games which will never change. I actually think Foyth has massive potential if only he could just realise you can't continually piss around with the ball in your own third.

His age is on his side and with development and experience he may come good, he clearly has ability. Rose has shown he no longer wants to be here, Davies is a good squad/ rotation player and Verts at his age is not a left back, can still do job at CB. Lloris makes too many costly errors and Gazzaniga again is a good second choice keeper.

If Lo Celso is the answer i've yet to work out the question, and the likes of Lamela and Lucas are not good enough to start regularly. Dier and Wanyama are nowhere near it, i think we all love Sissoko but there simply isn't enough at the end of all his good work and Winks is neither combative enough or progressive enough, he plays the simple sideways/ backwards pass too often for me although again he may improve over time.

Oh and Eriksen can do one, i've never seen a 'set piece specialist' hit the first defender as ofter as him in all the years i've watched the game. Whilst were are at it Son is class bit i do wish he would stop kicking people and then crying about it!

Back after a couple of days and would like to wish everyone the best over Christmas (even Oddbod! )
Happy to see Dier out and great to see Sessegnon getting a start. Looking forward to today and genuinely optimistic, something I wasnt on sunday. 3-1 or 4-1 today up the Spurs!

mwheels

1.) 26 Dec 2019 12:16:22
Ndombele not even in the squad when fit . strange decision. Especially when Dier and Eriksen make the bench ahead of him.

We already know the Winks/ Sissoko pairing has not been particularly successful in the past.

2.) 26 Dec 2019 13:21:38
None of our players appear to give a sh#t. There is no effort or desire and a mixture of useless passing and not even looking to pass the ball ti players in better posistion. Its exactly the same as sunday. How have we come to this, its aweful.

3.) 26 Dec 2019 13:33:54
Different manager, same Tottenham.

Ndombele an LoCelso need a run of games together- can’t be any worse than what we’ve been showing all year.

4.) 26 Dec 2019 15:51:29
How did winks not get a second yellow, nice to see refs being consistent again 🙄.

5.) 26 Dec 2019 17:06:51
For the life of me, I’m not sure why we don’t start Ndombele. him and Sissoko in midfield all day long for me.

We move the ball so slow under Mourinho. I know we got the result. 3 points I’m happy. but not.! if you know what I mean. should have had the 3 points last weekend.

6.) 26 Dec 2019 17:07:30
How did Bournemouth not beat your lot? Worry about your own problems sunshine!

7.) 26 Dec 2019 19:58:30
Because they were second best to us all game, that’s how.

8.) 26 Dec 2019 22:39:29
The only stat you beat Bournemouth on was posession. Shots on target you had 2 in 90 mins, corners you got less than half and fouls conceded over double. You are deluded as ever and despite half their team being out injured you still did nothing. Now Spurs were useless today but we did still take 3 points. In the rut they are currently in I would imgine Bournemouth would like to play you every week!

9.) 27 Dec 2019 09:18:02
If we would of got a lucky deflection we would of won also 🙄.

10.) 27 Dec 2019 10:14:31
So you think a team would like to play another team that it could only draw with every week, mwheels?

Yes I get all that Guvnor, but why do we always continue to turn the screw for so long? I am glad we have a solid base and are a properly run club, for which Levy is to be congratulated, but haggling over a couple of mil until the 11th hour when you are talking about a 50 mil plus player makes me think he isn't that interested in the player and will end up with the usual club statement come the 9th, we tried our best but it wasnt possible etc.
On the other hand if we do get it over the line it will have been so dragged out that he probably won't be ready for selection until september. I just would have loved a year where we buy whoever our genuine realistic targets are early in the window so they can prepare and be ready for gameweek one, not gameweek 4. Perhaps I live in a fantasy world!

I am sick to death of us leaving transfers until the 11th hour and then missing out. It stinks of Levy penny pinching again, even if we get Lo Celso he won't be ready for the 1st few games as he will need time to settle in.
Currently from our tiny squad from last year we have got rid of many more than we have added and the contract situation of the ones we have are nearly terminal in some cases, why leave it to drag so long. If they are showing no signs of extending contracts just move them on for the best price you can actually get and stop pissing about for the sake of a few mil and get the players you actually know are available and you want, is it really that complicated?
Im guessing Levy is now planning on signing Sessegnon in jan on a tribunal to save another few mil, risky business!

I think the reason you finished below us was because again you got less points than us! Your arguements are always based on ifs, well here is one for you Oddbod, IF my Auntie had balls she would be my Uncle!

I can't see us buying a replacement any time soon. It will mean more minutes for Skipp this season so we may see a bit more of him and what he is made of, he seems to have great potential.

The one thing we desperately need is a CM that can go past a player which then opens up space for the front 3. This is what Dembele has been brilliant at. When he goes past one or two and then gives it we create so much more. We need to have that as in my eyes Dier Wanyama, Winks and Skipp are really all competing for the same posistion and currently Sissoko is the only one for the other CM spot if Dembele goes.

I really like Sissoko in terms of speed stamina work rate and dribbling but technically he isn't good enough and has little to no end product. He does a lung busting 40 yard run, goes past 3 and then misses a 5 yard square pass!

I would also like to add that Dembele has been my favourite player to watch live for the last 3 years and he has completely bossed many of the games I've been to. The guy has such strength and technique, made it look so easy at times, and I will miss him!

Funny day today raver. I honestly don't know what to say about that game. Some positives to take and could have snatched it late, but ultimately we were troubled for the majority of the game by a bang average Watford team!

Raver I know we need backup for Kane but we need 1st choice players at CDM, RB, LB and GK. I think full backs are most important this time round. On a seperate note I also have no confidence in use getting a result today although personally I don't really care today. We are currently so far off anything I now think it would be best if we did what Chelski did a few years ago, finish 7th and just play once a week for a season, giving our few quality players chance to rest and avoid injury.

That was even worse than I expected. To top it off our 2 best players injured, its going to get worse before it gets better (if it does get better! )

{Ed047's Note - I watched it mate and you were pretty poor. Saints deserved the win.
