fantastic win and performance, my only dissapoinment was ericksen again, he is leaving and don't seem interested very poor. coys.

13 Jul 2018 17:14:16
has anyone got any solid transfer news, I am dissapointed as was led to believe we would do our buisness early. unless our buisness is done and we are not getting anyone.

1.) 13 Jul 2018 21:56:10
Can Levy work his magic and find another hidden diamond teenage winger in the French third division? As fans all we can ask is that the club give four yachts a positive balance sheet each year and that we have the highest paid chairman in the Prem for the fifteenth year running. Get them two boxes ticked and the rest doesn't matter, Poundland Fc have justified their existence.

2.) 14 Jul 2018 12:33:05
Bewildering that there isn't anything concrete as yet.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 09:29:08
I think spurs are linked with Wilmar Barrios and probably will try to sign Grealish. Surprised about the lack of names being mentioned.

Tbh Levy does his business fairly late every year. It will be interesting. Good luck anyway lads.

15 Jul 2017 19:31:54
what has happened to the young argentinian lad reports claim deal is dead, will spurs sign anyone, please someone give me some good news, anything I am getting increasingly frustrated.

1.) 15 Jul 2017 22:34:25
Steve I've given up weeks ago with spurs, I haven't renewed my season ticket and refused to buy any of the new crap nike stuff, I'm sick of pumping my money into the club to see our best players waving off every other year and us being linked with utter rubbish every summer. I feel like letting a lot of steam lately and I might start following millwall football club.

2.) 16 Jul 2017 00:23:43
Raver the last sentence is worth poster of the year alone. Very good.

3.) 16 Jul 2017 11:51:50
Raver, I feel your pain.
Best players moving to Spain, again and again.
Like I said, no big signings this summer but at least Dele And Mr Kane are staying. Real interest from Real for Dele but he ain't ready to give up here yet. Besides, he knows he ain't a starter for dem.

Got to ride the summer out.

4.) 16 Jul 2017 11:51:50
Raver, you were always bragging you have the best young players in the league, and fantastic youth players coming through so why are you bothered about not signing anyone or are you now saying you were talking rubbish lol.

5.) 16 Jul 2017 12:01:31
Raver a true fan would never write that type on nonsense. I actually enjoy your posts and normally agree wth most things you write, but please retract your emotional breakdown!

Many true fans remember the days when Spurs were a consistent mid table club, and there were a few years in between when we were mathematically in the relegation zone. In the early 90s we finished 15th twice in three years and were on the brink of disaster. This period followed the FA Cup win in 1990/ 91 which came after another 10 years of mid table mediocrity.

We are building the best stadium in the league, have the most promising squad without a doubt, and run a tight financial ship. The last 10 years have seen Spurs consolidate top 6 to now looking like a worthy top 4 contender. When you consider many of the others are running their clubs unprofitably this is a significant achievement by any measure.

The truth is Joe Lewis is not an Abramovich, Sheikh Mansour or even Glazer. He doesn't pump in £300m into new player acquisitions from his personal fortunes. It would be nice if financial fair play actually worked, because we would have been champions at least 3 times in the last decade if it did. The sad reality is we run a tight ship, and our ability to compete is hindered by others cheating.

Imagine if we had the same dynamic but offered players £300K per week from the billionaires petty cash injection. Suarez, Hazard, Aguero and William were all acquired by this method.

I completely agree it is bloody frustrating to see this continued underinvestment in our players when we are so close to winning something. I completely agree we have been loyal fans and should have some glory to share by now. However be patient because business people tend to have business minds, and I sense Lewis and ENIC are completing the final piece of the jigsaw before selling out.

When we finally sell which I believe will be at the end of this season, we will have a new stadium, amazing team of talented youth and some world class players like Lloris, Alderweireld, Dele and Kane. Then we will see the aggression to go and buy big and bring in some superstars to compliment this setup. A time when Spurs will start being serious about winning things. If you offered £190m for Sanchez and had unlimited funds to pay him £300K a week, what damage would this do to Arsenal? It is those special players that we need to attract and that is impossible until we have a different owner mindset!

6.) 16 Jul 2017 12:52:24
What a joke of a statement! Raver!
Give the club some time! We need to ship out before we can add!
All our big players are staying!, yes we have lost walker but for 50Mil + good business for a guy who is hit and miss!

7.) 16 Jul 2017 14:14:44
I don't agre with most things that the oracle writes but (sadly) he's right! I think with the lsck of investment, Wembley pitch and a thin squad (+ potential injuries) we will be lucky to finish 6th. Almost certainly no cup or CL football for the first year in our new stadium. The only positive is that we are likely (either by transfer dealings or club sale) to be debt free relatively quickly, then hopefully we can become a force.
I doubt (for most of us 50 somethings) we will see success in the next 10 years!
Sadly Nobby.

{Ed025's Note - at least your being positive nobby.. :)

8.) 16 Jul 2017 15:01:02
Great post Oracle. Jamiek, exactly, we are now selling players to create space in the squad for new players.

9.) 16 Jul 2017 15:06:12
Oracle, if financial fair play worked you think you would of won the league 3 times in the last decade? What a joke of a statement, arsenal would of won it 10 times then under that analogy!

10.) 16 Jul 2017 18:17:18
I've never heard a gooner blaming FFPR'S before on their failings.

11.) 16 Jul 2017 18:20:18
Spot on Oracle.

12.) 17 Jul 2017 17:01:16
Ellis mentioned Arsenal once again lol.

13.) 17 Jul 2017 20:28:02
Dear Amoeba brain, you are on a spurs site talking (or trying to) about spurs! You are so deluded its beyond words.

07 Aug 2019 15:45:45
until I see the words spurs have completed the signing of, I have no faith in levy to get anything done, just my opinion.

1.) 07 Aug 2019 21:26:46
You need to look at the big picture pal. Lots if clubs are struggling to get deals done, especially earlier in the window.

One of the agents I know said to me only a few hours ago that one of the biggest problems now is the early closing of our transfer window. We've sort of shot ourselves in the foot with the rest of Europe still open for business.

I said a few weeks ago that Betis will try it on with us but Levy won't be bullied.

This could be a great window for us so I don't share your pessimism in the slightest. It ain't Fifa or football manager, transfers are incredibly complex nowadays with soo many variables.

Check the rumours page 👍.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 09:27:48
So why did you say at the beginning of the window when you signed Ndombele that Arsenal are struggling to sign Ryan Fraser and that you spent more on one player than our entire budget? Then Arsenal sign Pepe for £72m LOL.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 11:05:52
No idea Oddbod, why don’t you enlighten us 🤪.

06 Aug 2019 15:36:50
lots of buisness being done, except of course at tottenham where as supporters we wait and wait and wait for nothing to happen.

1.) 06 Aug 2019 17:49:11
Correct Steve, its time for levy out banners to arrive at the new stadium, we've spent nothing for 3 years, got the champions league money, huge shirt sponsership and we do nothing again, yes we bought ndombele for 60 million but have recouped over half of that of the sale of trippier and Jansen.

31 Jul 2019 12:18:30
looks like our transfer buisness is done for this window, I get so fed up watching other clubs get players in with ease while we struggle to get any buisness done, can't see to much action now unless levy pulls one of those rabbits out of the hat. so disspointing for us as 2 or 3 top players could give us a real chance at the prem title, and we know we have money available for players, poch will go at some point this season as once again tottenham fail to back him, you get that feeling he has had enough listening to his post match interviews.

1.) 31 Jul 2019 13:01:09
Fully agree with you mate, I've had enough of levy for a the last few years and wish he would sell up to someone who will take the club on further. We were 3 or 4 world class signings away last season and this season and he does nothing about it,

2.) 01 Aug 2019 09:51:45
I had a rant about this on the rumours page a couple of days ago and the Spursguvnor gave me a very belittling response. I just don't see why Levy tries screwing teams down by a couple more million all the time. To me all it does is piss other clubs off, waste time and risk the whole deals. Its going to be the end of Poch as he can't continue to get top 4 without more backing, let alone compete to win.

Even if we do get Lo Celso over the line it will probably not be until next Thursday which will mean he won't be ready for a while after that. I think Levy just goes too far trying to prove what a tight negotiator he is and although i'm not suggesting we should back down and pay full asking price I think bending a fraction would get deals over the line loads quicker keeping everyone happy and allow us to actually prepare in time for game week 1!

3.) 01 Aug 2019 10:43:11
Levy won't be selling up anytime soon. I think that was the plan originally with building the stadium but he's obsessed with this NFL project apparently. The only way I see us selling quickly is either an astronomical bid for Spurs or Joe Lewis becoming very ill or worse.

At least wait until the window is over. There are lots of clubs doing what we are doing, waiting to get the right price.

16 Jun 2019 14:51:41
why are tottenham so incapable of getting transfers done, we seem to wait and wait until someone else steps in to snatch them away. is this a deliberate ploy to say to fans we tried but could not get it over the line, I get so frustrated watching other teams add players with ease while we seem to take an age to get anything done.

1.) 16 Jun 2019 23:16:44
Agree Steve, ndombele and le celso will be snapped up by other clubs by this week, levy playing his usual hardball by not paying the extra few million to get them, in will cost him a lot more as next season goes on. We will be buying Jack Clark from Leeds soon is hardly getting the spurs fans excited, I'm fed up of spurs and levy letting the raver down year in year out.

2.) 17 Jun 2019 00:21:20
Simple answer Stevieboy. Daniel Levy!

3.) 17 Jun 2019 22:54:52
Calm down lads. Transfers are much harder to get through nowadays. All clubs have transfers that don't get done but a lot of them we just don't hear about it.

I guarantee you we are after Lo Celso and Ndombele.

12 Jun 2019 17:12:08
any chance spurs will start buying soon.

1.) 12 Jun 2019 20:57:01
Define soon :)

2.) 12 Jun 2019 22:40:19
Linked with absolute dross from the championship, I bet levy will be tugging in his bed tonight who he can buy from Charlton, Preston, millwall.

3.) 13 Jun 2019 01:42:19
I’d like to believe at least one of Ndombele, Lo Celso or Bruno Fernendes will be signed, but I’m afraid we’ll end up with someone who’s name we’ll need to google. and Poch will walk leaving us in a mess of Levys own making.

4.) 13 Jun 2019 14:42:12
Fully agree with you yellow card.

5.) 13 Jun 2019 19:42:53
The guvnor is back.

6.) 13 Jun 2019 20:15:53
I'm taking over from Ellis dee with all the info you guys crave.

Oddbod it happened again.

7.) 14 Jun 2019 10:34:39
Spursguvnor, why do you sound surprised that it happened again? I mean how long has it been now then since you last won a major trophy? 🤣😂.

8.) 14 Jun 2019 10:54:40
Welcome back governor,

9.) 14 Jun 2019 13:25:46
Ellis dee is inda house, raver.

10.) 14 Jun 2019 15:34:56
Welcome back Ellis dee, I didn't realise it was you from earlier post, the raver has been asking about you and hope everything is all right up in shellsuits city after we lost the European cup final, Ellis is your surname bryant by any chance.

11.) 14 Jun 2019 22:43:02
Raver, it was a nightmare up here when Liverpool beat us. It wasn't a great final but we definitely were the better team as we were at Anfield. They are hard to beat but they've had soo much luck this season. Typical Tottenham not seizing the day.

My names not Bryant, I'm guessing you've looked up the Universe owners. That's Rob who is called Bryant. I was a silent partner, you won't find anything on me lol I'm a fox in the box. I financed them when we moved from Brainstorm to Universe.

12.) 15 Jun 2019 09:37:55
So are you seriously saying Liverpool had more luck in the champions league then you did?

13.) 15 Jun 2019 11:31:25
Thanks Guvnor, I was worried about you and was trying to find out any news on you so I could get in touch, yes I was on a old rave site when one of the boys was talking about his universe days and was wondering if it was you, I was close to coming up to giroland in the Subaru to see if my sidekick was ok, you have sutton and shearar, cole and York, gullit and van basten but the raver and Ellis are lethal together😎.

14.) 15 Jun 2019 17:02:07
I didn't say just in the Champions League though, Wodbod.

15.) 15 Jun 2019 20:06:40
Oddbod the fantasist twisting things to suit his narrative as usual 🤥.

16.) 15 Jun 2019 23:33:17
What else could you be talking about then? You weren’t even close to them in the league.

17.) 15 Jun 2019 23:56:34
I will agree Liverpool have been world class this season and should have won the double.

18.) 16 Jun 2019 07:28:52
Theleftwilleatitself, how am I twisting things then if you weren’t even close to them in the league and he was clearly talking about champions league by saying “typical Tottenham not seizing the day".

19.) 16 Jun 2019 15:06:08
Just give up Wodbod.

20.) 16 Jun 2019 20:48:26
I love this kid! I reckon he's permanently got la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la going round his head 🤕.

we should be doing everything we can to keep toby at spurs, one of the best centre backs in the world, the story linking him to roma is very hard to belive as they have a lower pay structure than we do and are a much lesser team than us. we seem to be taking an age again to get things done, the danni cabellos deal is a no brainer even if we use ericksen as part of the deal. we should be moving players like lemela, wanyama, tripper, lorente on asap to make room for new players. coys get things done.

keep dreaming, no rabbit out of the hat this season, think mr levy has made his stance on incoming players quite clear, we need fresh blood to push on for the season coming we can't afford to stagnate. all the top sides have invested in quality players, and while I think we have the strongest starting 11 in the prem it is strength in depth that will carry teams to a title or a final. I have said it before on here our bench is weakish compared to other sides and we don't have players that can come on and change a game.

another weak performance, lemela, tripper, davis, winks were shocking. I said before I don't get the hype over winks think he is so overrated. lloris is not good enough he makes so many errors. and ed0333 yes I don't think poch has the balls to rip into these players he is also weak and watches a diffrent game to me.

{Ed0333's Note - for me the only thing in his favor was his lack of spend this season. If he’d been given funds maybe it would be different?
