Only 2 weeks to go till kick off and I think we are dragging our feet yet again under levy, I feel we need another 3 world class players for us to take the next step otherwise it will be another 4th place scrap for us again.

Raver, how can you say you will scrap for 4th place again because you are dragging your feet in the transfer market? when you brought Ndombele you were saying "we will be challenging again mark my word" 😂🤣😂.

I am sick to death of us leaving transfers until the 11th hour and then missing out. It stinks of Levy penny pinching again, even if we get Lo Celso he won't be ready for the 1st few games as he will need time to settle in.
Currently from our tiny squad from last year we have got rid of many more than we have added and the contract situation of the ones we have are nearly terminal in some cases, why leave it to drag so long. If they are showing no signs of extending contracts just move them on for the best price you can actually get and stop pissing about for the sake of a few mil and get the players you actually know are available and you want, is it really that complicated?
Im guessing Levy is now planning on signing Sessegnon in jan on a tribunal to save another few mil, risky business!

{Ed002's Note - Embarrassing.}

Mwheels, that sort of post really pisses me off. It's incredibly hard to do transfers. It's much more complex than you think.

There are lots of factors. Just because you see another club sign someone you have no idea how long it took, if they got turned down by other players before they got the player that signed etc etc. You talk about millions of pounds like its nothing lmao.

Levy will wait until he drives down Betis and Fulham for Lo Celso and Sessegnon, that's how it works.

Look at Utd with Maguire. Yes it's frustrating to wait but Levy is looking after our club. Yes Levy has made some mistakes but in the most he has been superb for our club.

Yes I get all that Guvnor, but why do we always continue to turn the screw for so long? I am glad we have a solid base and are a properly run club, for which Levy is to be congratulated, but haggling over a couple of mil until the 11th hour when you are talking about a 50 mil plus player makes me think he isn't that interested in the player and will end up with the usual club statement come the 9th, we tried our best but it wasnt possible etc.
On the other hand if we do get it over the line it will have been so dragged out that he probably won't be ready for selection until september. I just would have loved a year where we buy whoever our genuine realistic targets are early in the window so they can prepare and be ready for gameweek one, not gameweek 4. Perhaps I live in a fantasy world!

Since when have we ever released a statement saying we tried? I've said it on here countless times, we have no idea exactly what goes on in the background. We don't know every player we have tried for or what's happened. Yes I get some info but in the most we are all in the dark over 99 percent of what goes on. We ain't the only club trying to get players, like I said look at Utd with Maguire. Your comment about the millions is ridiculous.

Its such an embarrassment - levy out

By now we should have paid at least double the players value and at least 3 times the going rate of wages (ensuring it is more than what we pay kane) . Just to ensure they are ready for villa

or is that sarcasm talking.
