Hi eds is there any update on musacchio? Seems to have gone cold

Rosscocee

{Ed002's Note - Dead right now.}

1.) Are we looking at any alternatives like Nastasic of City who has PL experience and is young?

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Savic remains - but I am not sure anything can be done. Alderweireld does look a viable option.}

Hi eds do you know what the soldado situation is? Should we be better letting him go and get money back or hang on to him for a year or two? I've seen many rumours linking us with strikers so does this mean ade is on the way out as well?

Rosscocee

{Ed001's Note - last I heard, Soldado was to sit down and have a heart to heart with Poch and that would be when a decision would be made regarding his future. I haven't heard anything since about it, so I don't know if that has happened yet or not. The club would prefer to replace Adebayor, but it needs more strikers before that can happen. In my opinion I would expect him to get until January to prove he should stay, purely because of the club's shortage of forwards.}

1.) I believe Soldado will come god this season. spurs never played to his strengths but this time I can see Poco bringing the best out of him! Same with Lamela. I just hope we get some quality signings in and as stated before will be happy if there is 4/5 signings. Any

Hi eds with the news that Moreno has a broken leg and out for 5 months I presume that'll ruin our chances for him. Also I've heard various rumours about origi, depay, bony, cambiasso and that brahimi are any of these rumours true? Also these players all seem to be young bar cambiasso don't you feel we need to sign some experienced attacking option such as valbuena, snjieder or someone along those lines? I also feel if the cambiasso deal was pushed through he would play an essential role in our push for champions league next season by sitting just in front of the defence? What your opinion eds?

Rosscocee

{Ed008's Note - Was their ever any interest in Moreno though? I can't recall unless another ED mentioned it, Origi and Depay are linked with many clubs because of their World Cup performances I've not heard anything about them 2 joining Spurs unless Ed002 knows anything, Cambiasso last I heard was going back to Argentina would be very surprised if he joined Spurs with Paulinho and Sandro already at the club. All these names mentioned seem so random and IMO not good enough for a club like Tottenham. A lot of sales need to happen if all these players linked where to join.

1.) The rumour regarding Moreno was that baldini and levy met in Barcelona to negotiate with espanyol. This is according to Spanish newspapers. I have no idea whether this is true or not though ed 008.

{Ed008's Note - But Lovren is the No1 target? Chichres is a really good player aswell what will happen to him?

2.) Thanks Ed0008 and these names just keep consistently popping up on various websites and was just curious if any were actually true

{Ed008's Note - Here's a post from Ed002 recently regarding player interest {Ed002's Note - These are the players that Spurs have shown some level of interest in over recent months. Some predate the change of manager but were from a time when the club knew that Tim Sherwood would be moving on:

GK: Krul
RB: Clyne (but there would need to be a sale first)
LB: Kolasinac, Radu, Bertrand, Cuadrado (but Barcelona are looking to replace Alves with him), Moreno
CB: Lovren, Caulker, Mangolas, Hecotor Moreno, Savic
MF: Dzemaili, Aaron Hunt, Lallana (probably reliant on Lamela being sold), Sadio Mané (interest might well have gone), Onazi, Pjanic (really, really unlikely), Fischer (really, really unlikely).
FW: Lacazette, Morata, Emenike, Jay Rodriguez (if he can prove his fitness), Konoplyanka, Muniain, Lukaku (unlikely), Hernandez (but there is significant interest from elsewhere), Jackson Martinez (very unlikely), Bony, Heung Min Son, perhaps Remy.

Hi eds all I've seen on every website is the news of us trying to sign lukaku is there any truth in this or just rumours? Also is there any more news on louvren? Heard that he handed in a transfer request. I presume we'll be favourites and I also presume any deals that will be done will be after the World Cup

Rosscocee

{Ed002's Note - Whilst efforts are being made to save Lukaku's career with Chelsea after he upset the club, there is interest from a number of sides including Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, WolfsburgNewcastle, Roma and Spurs. Shakhtar, Zenit and Everton are interested but probably not options. I suspect the Borussia Dortmund interest has gone.

It would not be out of the question for Lovren to move on this summer and with Southampton showing an interest in Caulker the club are likely expecting offers. Interest is there from Roma and Liverpool and even Barcelona may be keeping a watching brief. Spurs are looking for two centre backs and will, with their new manager, also look to Lovren.}

Spurs are still seemingly hoping that Louis van gaal is going to come in as manager. Personally I think it's just what we need, some experience of winning big trophies and working with world class players. So obviously a very good manager. Would like it if Tim Sherwood would stay as assistand but couldn't see it happening. Van gaal is also claiming that he is happy with the squad we have got but I'm sure he'll make changes and hopefully it will show big players that we are going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Rosscocee

{Ed007's Note - Van Gaal and Mauricio Pochettino are the preferred choices.}

1.) I can see lvg tring to bring in two from three with him? Think blind would be a cert? And one from klaasens(sp) & or fischer

2.) I can't see fischer being any better than eriksen but hopefully he will bring in blind

Seen some reports that welbeck is on his way to spurs! Personally think he would be a good asset to the team as he wasn't given a consistent chance at man utd, and I feel spurs would be the right club for him. If we played lamela on the right eriksen in the middle with welbeck on the left I think that wouldn't be too shabby, then either soldado or ade up front. Also it looks like our centre half worries could be over as fazio looks to be signing! Which means Dawson is bye byes! Fazio looks like a decent replacement( captained Seville to euro cup final, capped for Argentina plus the guy is huge!) as long as levy doesn't f*** it up like then we could be a force to be recon with this season!

Why is it such a struggle for us to sell and sign people eds? Poch must have had an idea who he wanted and who he wants to get rid of! All the big clubs have have signed players bar us? Is this levy and baldini trying to be too clever with money(we all seen how that went last time) or is poch just giving everybody a chance in pre season?

Rosscocee

{Ed007's Note - Wouldn't you rather Pochettino saw what he has available before deciding what he needs? A lot of Spurs 'failures' from last season could easily find a new lease of life under Pochettino so he's better off assessing everything before taking the plunge and buying.}

1.) That's true but even Louis van Gaal has signed two players (and is closing in on Vidal) and he's a new manager. So why does it take us so bolo in long as usual?

2.) 16 Jul 2014 09:35:33
I don't think there is any question we need a LB and CB. On the one hand the utter Silence about Spurs transfers has been refreshing this Summer; however, we are getting to the point in the Summer where I begin to worry that we will be depending on Levy-time and picking some questionable dregs leftover rather than securing a proper replacement.

3.) 16 Jul 2014 10:11:49
Surely Poch already knows what each player can do or can't do.

4.) 16 Jul 2014 18:59:01
I'm sure mopo has an idea but with so many players playing well below standard last year he is no doubt trying to work out if it was a 1 off or if they need replacing. As for United, it's obvious the team needs work it's not a case of players under performing like it is with us.

26 Jun 2014 03:00:28
Hi eds just wondering who are the most likely players to sign for us this season?

Rosscocee

{Ed002's Note - I can tell you where there is interest, I cannot answer "most likely" questions.}

1.) Ed002, could you please tell us who in fact we are interested in please before the oracle posts the latest from Newsnow Tottenham?

Many thanks
Much love

Apparently Lamela has tweeted stated his intention to stay. I for one am glad to here this and hope he fullfills his potential

3.) I agree Ant.

He's been in training. so hopefully he'll come back raring to go. He's only a young lad - plus Pochettino will play more attacking football than AVB. We need to give some players more time than others.

4.) I remember ed 002 before people asked about bony and you said you hadn't heard that one, so I assume he is a more recent target.

Just seen rumours that Michael Dawson is away for 3.5 mil! Hallelujah! Please do us all a favour poch and kick him out the door and bring in louvren!

Rosscocee

1.) 02 Jun 2014 20:09:17
Lovren isn't exactly Usain Bolt either!

2.) Is lovren the one who had a nightmere against us?

26 May 2014 02:56:38
Seemingly poch is willing to sign a new deal at Southampton, but only if he can keep his big players. Personally I think we will get conte from juve as baldini will have contacts in Italy. Tbh I couldn't care who we get as manager as long as one is appointed soon so we can kick on as a club and buy/sell some players

Is levy waiting to sign players until our new kit is released? Seems to happen most years, so it should be mid July before any deals are confirmed.

I do agree about how he wasn't the only one that saved us as eriksen and Hugo were unbelievable but without ade up front where would we have finished 7th, 8th or 9th, the guy scored crucial goals at crucial times for us last season. I do feel he goes walkabouts sometimes but on his game he is a brilliant player and I believe he would have easily had over 20+ goals if Sherwood was in charge at the start of the season. He may have some games that he lacks effort but either does most of the squad?
