Eds what's the chances of this triple swoop:

Y.Konoplyanka
J.Martinez
J.Draxler

IMO, they are all realistic targets and as such I have placed my transfer bets :)

As for a LB, my hopes and money would go on D.Blind but too many CL clubs are chasing him from the rumour mill!

foxspur907

{Ed008's Note - Unlikely,Very Unlikely,Extremely Unlikely.

Eds? What's the situation with Daley Blind?

foxspur907

{Ed002's Note - A year or two back Liverpool took a look at Daley Blind but did not follow up. There was interest from Hannover 96 in January and Hamburg both in January and again recently. Chelsea spoke with Ajax about the player as an option for their left back problem and his agent would like to talk to Manchester United - but they have not made any approach yet - although they most probably will.}

1.) Cheers ed002, appreciated!

So far NO signings but not really surprised. Eds' is there any news on A.Cole? He is who I think we should sign for our LB position. Also what's the chance of Mats Hummels? I hear he wants a change and would consider offers from the premiership!

Finally has there been any transfer news wrt Hulk?

cheers

foxspur907

{Ed002's Note - I don't see Ashley Cole as a viable option. There has been no interest in Hummels or Hulk from Spurs.}

1.) Cheers Ed001 appreciate the heads up!

{Ed001's Note - I like this, even when I don't do anything I get the credit!}

2.) Lol, my bad, cheers Ed002 :)

3.) 29 Jun 2014 23:23:47
Cole - No Chance - Monaco cheque book already out.
Hummels - Manchester United possible but probably won't move. Spurs not even looking at him.
Add
Balotelli - Never considered and worryingly looking set for Arsenal
Lukaku - Loose interest but now nailed on to move to Athletico Madrid.

{Ed008's Note - I dunno if Balotelli is nailed on for Arsenal hates the English media and Wenger has denied the interest.

4.) 30 Jun 2014 08:41:51
I hope Balotelli avoids Arsenal but there was some interest from Spurs who where rebuffed immediately and the news is Arsene Wenger has met both player and agent.

He is an awesome talent and this would be disastrous if he ended up at Arsenal.

5.) I couldn't wish a nicer person on Arsenal. I know his talent is fantastic, but if anyone could f**k up a dressing room, he's got to be your guy

6.) Hey mate, are you forgetting Tim Sherwood, he does a very good job at that!

7.) Are we that desperate we need Ballotelli? Would rather keep Ade! In fact a younger version of Ade! Yes he is brilliant, occasionally!

8.) I can't see us nor the Gooners risking Balotelli. No question has has ability, but at the risk of the disruption he has a habit of causing and his lack of form over the last year I doubt Wenger will take him and I'm sure MoPo doesn't need that kind of headache in his first season.

9.) 30 Jun 2014 19:01:57
I hope you are all right and he joins Arsenal and messes up their dressing room.

Sadly I fear he will suit their play style perfectly and score 20+ goals a season.

Character bypass for sure, but talent extraordinaire without a doubt.

Liability for Arsenal I hope, but a fear he will be sensational.

10.) 30 Jun 2014 20:23:37
Sometimes Oracle you make me think that your a gooner on a wind up.

11.) 01 Jul 2014 11:13:00
I can assure you the only time I wore a red shirt was when I had a nose bleed one day. Sorry if I think Balotelli is world class, and sorry that I think he is going to Arsenal. If that make me a Gooner then I am sorry for that as well.

15 Jun 2014 00:19:48
Ed's, what's the situation with regards to Mario Balotelli?

foxspur907

{Ed002's Note - Balotelli is playing up again and could well be leaving in the summer. Monaco and Arsenal have previously shown some interest and PSG might be interested. If Liverpool are considering him, and I don't know that they are, it would be as a replacement for Suarez.}

Ed's,

As we will potentially miss out on Willian which I personally don't mind either way, what would be the chances/availability of either Marco Reus or even Mesut Ozil? both IMO are better players as I have seen them both play a lot and not really seen much of Willian.

Not sure what they would cost in wages or tsfr fees though but if I had a choice I would take either or over Willian.

To complete the team for me would be either or players above and Micah Richards. But as I said on another post I would be happy as we are as I believe Lewis Holtby can prove to be a real gem this season if he stays fit. {Ed002's Note - Neither Reus nor Oezil will be moving to Spurs 907.}

Good luck Benny, shame to see you go. You were one of my favourite players! Keep up the great charity work!!

foxspur907

1.) 02 Feb 2015 23:06:39
Read his latest tweet, good riddance.

2.) Why, what did he tweet? And to be honest, I have no complaints. When he played, he played with 100% commitment!

3.) Just seen it on ssn, don't blame him, he got treated badly towards the end! As I said. Good luck to him, he was a great servant for the club.

4.) 03 Feb 2015 05:42:29
I meant look at his pic on twitter.

5.) If he had kept his hair short he could have been a legend! ;-)

04 Jul 2014 23:34:30
After watching the Brazil-Columbia game, I was really impressed with Monaco's James Rodriguez. His desire and hunger are exactly what we need but I know nothing about him! Is he like this for his current club or just his country?

Anyone? Eds?

foxspur907

1.) Think he expressed a desire to go to Spain rather than the Premier League, due to the physicality of the PL, doesn't consider himself ready for it. Though a truck load of money might change that of course.

2.) As a target totally and utterly unrealistic, fantastic player thought.

3.) Agree that with his showing at the World Cup he may now be an unrealistic target hence this post on the banter page. But I was wondering if he was good for his club?

As someone posted in a different thread, we are struggling to attract the top world class players that we crave. I do however contradict myself slightly in the fact that I believe Soldado is world class and will come good next season!

Either way, what kind of transfer fee and wages would he command for a tsfr?

4.) Well he moved last season for 40m and heaven knows what wage he is on at Monaco. one thing is for sure you don't go there for the opportunity to play for the club!

Unfortunately at this stage we are not going to attract top players we have lost that momentum in my opinion, that said we do have some quality and with the right additions in the right position (please no more number ffing 10's) plus right direction we can surprise a few next season.

Sadly I don't think Saldado is world class, would love to be proved wrong but I didn't see anything last season to suggest he is a world beater. need to see a lot more than a few nice touches.

5.) Cheers S.T.I.D. Agree that we have lost momentum and Soldado only showed glimpses but hopefully he will be settled this season and show why we bought him! I truly believe he will come good!

6.) Fingers crossed fellow Spurs fan, believe me no one will be more happier than me if he does come good. quietly optimistic about the new season but need to see a few new additions especially at the back! We obviously must keep our top names also.

COYS

7.) Fingers are crossed and miracles can happen! I just agreed to a post by the Oracle, 100 percent lol. I would love blind to sign for us :)

Just read that Michu is having a medical at Napoli? Shame he is leaving as he is a quality player just had a bad season mainly due to injury. This lad will be one for the near future for sure! Spanish team in the Euros for sure and top Italian scorer for next season if he passes his medical. Potential chance missed on a bargain player.

To me I would love to bolster the defence this window.

Get rid of:
Naughton
Livermore
Falque
Carroll

Sign:
A.Cole (Free)
J.Lescott (Free)
Vorm (Swansea) to replace Gomes and challenge Hugo!

Both Defenders quality players with valuable experience. Vorm is also a very good Keeper and could challenge Hugo for the Number 1 jersey.

I would also like a a better striking option with maybe R.Lukaku or J.Hernandez?

foxspur907

1.) Would take Cole with no hesitation, but lescott , would rather keep Daws!

2.) Davo, I would keep Dawson as well as but the other 2 :)

3.) Add to the list Dawson, townsend and 110% danny (the worst thfc player ever) rose. If danny rose is at thfc next year, it will prove we will never be a big club, and this sums up daniel levy as a chairman. Levy will want 10mil for rose and he won't sell him for a penny less, just like with gomes, bentley, jenas, and amazingly still jonathon obika, and this is why we have so many average players. Levy wants to pay half price for his transfer targets, and wants to sell our rubbish players for three times their value, hence we get stuck with these players for years. Levy is a class buisnessman no doubt, but the appointment of baldini lays solely at his feet, and that should be a sackable offence alone, never mind the appointments of avb and derwood.

4.) 01 Jun 2014 22:37:01
I can see Rose still here next season (1) as backup LB and (2) so MoPo can figure out if he can progress and (3) there's only so many ins and outs that can happen.

A number of younger player progressed under MoPo at Soton, it's hard to imagine but it's possible Rose could.

5.) 01 Jun 2014 23:32:54
Lucas, we brought some very good players but all were not what we needed, too many midfielders. We haven't seen the best of them yet.

Although Ashley Cole would be my preference it lookslike we are interested in Bertrand.

26 May 2014 21:21:50
So rumours of advanced talks with Pochettino, well IMO he is NOT what we need. We need a PROVEN manager with vast experience. Guus Hiddink is my preferred option but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter as the manager will get the sack for BALDINIS failings!

I believe we need a manager to do the job NOT a director of football. He may go and get the players the manager likes but not necessarily prefers and yet he stays and the manager gets the boot again its crazy! Why is it that the DoF primarily picks the players he thinks the team wants/needs? why not just make Baldini the manager and be done with it? At least that way I know he will be gone very soon lol

foxspur907

1.) Looks like it's Pochettino, it's got every chance of disaster being written all over it I think. Can this guy really coach a top 4-6 club players to improve? So far he's managed 8th with Southampton and, although that's a good achievement for them, one thing obvious from the decreasing number of points required to stay in the league is that the gap between top few and the rest is getting bigger.
Obviously I hope and pray he ends up being a revelation but, something tells me we can be a bit better next year as a result of new players settling and hold our own but after that will still be the test of his mettle.

2.) Well I'm happy but just hope and pray the Spurs faithful now get with the programme plus give him time! The negativity around this appointment does worry me.

I will also say I tend to leave the LVG and Anchelotti rumours to the fantasists, no top name manager would touch us at the moment, fact! If we manage to get into the top 4 again and the new stadium is build then I will start to entertain top name manager rumours. don't get me wrong I would love to have seen a big name appointment but I do not believe Levy has penny pinched, they simply wouldn't come!

Please lads get behind Poch, I have a really good feeling about this guy

Not being funny but we are not really showing any ambition here!
For once though I haven't been that bothered with the tsfr window as it always seems to disappoint :( ow well, I will still be at the next game as usual :)

In all honesty, our LB situation is so dire, why can't we try for them both! Would be great competition!

The point about B.Davies being proven in the PL over D.Blind is a fair one and they both offer different qualities. Davies being more defence minded but the games where we can really put teams to the sword, Blind would be the better attacking option with the quality to defend also!

Yellow card! Nothing difficult to comprehend you condescending fool, just didn't know Swansea were in America also Read the post properly before slating ppl.

As for Ben Davies yes he has had two seasons in the prem and looks good value but people have a right to prefer other players and IMO I would prefer D.Blind.

As for not being able to afford him (Blind) we have the money and the players at Ajax and on a similar wage structure to Spurs, maybe a bit less so there is always a chance. The true fact is probably CL teams are talking about him and that may be his preferred option.

Although we are more than likely going to Huey Ben Davies, why would he have a medical in Seatle? Doesn't make any sense! Maybe pass the medical then join up but if the rumour about M.Vorm is true I will be very happy as quite a while ago I said I would like him or k.schmeical to join!

Not so bothered about mister Davies but always happy to be proved wrong!

Both players are quality when fit, kaboom is a quality defender but was unfortunate with injuries and as you say if he stays injury free will be a force for our defence. As for Paulinho, he had a slow start to last season and as I said for most foreign players, he needs to get the first season under his belt and then we should judge him on the second season. Yes he slowed the pace down a bit but adapting takes time.

Let's see next season how they do. The other problem is we expect to see results straight away but seldom do and I am guilty of that to be fair but reality is not all players stay injury free and not all new players hit the ground straight away!
