has anyone got any solid transfer news, I am dissapointed as was led to believe we would do our buisness early. unless our buisness is done and we are not getting anyone.

Can Levy work his magic and find another hidden diamond teenage winger in the French third division? As fans all we can ask is that the club give four yachts a positive balance sheet each year and that we have the highest paid chairman in the Prem for the fifteenth year running. Get them two boxes ticked and the rest doesn't matter, Poundland Fc have justified their existence.

2.) 14 Jul 2018 12:33:05
Bewildering that there isn't anything concrete as yet.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 09:29:08
I think spurs are linked with Wilmar Barrios and probably will try to sign Grealish. Surprised about the lack of names being mentioned.

Tbh Levy does his business fairly late every year. It will be interesting. Good luck anyway lads.

what has happened to the young argentinian lad reports claim deal is dead, will spurs sign anyone, please someone give me some good news, anything I am getting increasingly frustrated.

Steve I've given up weeks ago with spurs, I haven't renewed my season ticket and refused to buy any of the new crap nike stuff, I'm sick of pumping my money into the club to see our best players waving off every other year and us being linked with utter rubbish every summer. I feel like letting a lot of steam lately and I might start following millwall football club.

2.) 16 Jul 2017 00:23:43
Raver the last sentence is worth poster of the year alone. Very good.

3.) 16 Jul 2017 11:51:50
Raver, I feel your pain.
Best players moving to Spain, again and again.
Like I said, no big signings this summer but at least Dele And Mr Kane are staying. Real interest from Real for Dele but he ain't ready to give up here yet. Besides, he knows he ain't a starter for dem.

Got to ride the summer out.

4.) 16 Jul 2017 11:51:50
Raver, you were always bragging you have the best young players in the league, and fantastic youth players coming through so why are you bothered about not signing anyone or are you now saying you were talking rubbish lol.

5.) 16 Jul 2017 12:01:31
Raver a true fan would never write that type on nonsense. I actually enjoy your posts and normally agree wth most things you write, but please retract your emotional breakdown!

Many true fans remember the days when Spurs were a consistent mid table club, and there were a few years in between when we were mathematically in the relegation zone. In the early 90s we finished 15th twice in three years and were on the brink of disaster. This period followed the FA Cup win in 1990/ 91 which came after another 10 years of mid table mediocrity.

We are building the best stadium in the league, have the most promising squad without a doubt, and run a tight financial ship. The last 10 years have seen Spurs consolidate top 6 to now looking like a worthy top 4 contender. When you consider many of the others are running their clubs unprofitably this is a significant achievement by any measure.

The truth is Joe Lewis is not an Abramovich, Sheikh Mansour or even Glazer. He doesn't pump in £300m into new player acquisitions from his personal fortunes. It would be nice if financial fair play actually worked, because we would have been champions at least 3 times in the last decade if it did. The sad reality is we run a tight ship, and our ability to compete is hindered by others cheating.

Imagine if we had the same dynamic but offered players £300K per week from the billionaires petty cash injection. Suarez, Hazard, Aguero and William were all acquired by this method.

I completely agree it is bloody frustrating to see this continued underinvestment in our players when we are so close to winning something. I completely agree we have been loyal fans and should have some glory to share by now. However be patient because business people tend to have business minds, and I sense Lewis and ENIC are completing the final piece of the jigsaw before selling out.

When we finally sell which I believe will be at the end of this season, we will have a new stadium, amazing team of talented youth and some world class players like Lloris, Alderweireld, Dele and Kane. Then we will see the aggression to go and buy big and bring in some superstars to compliment this setup. A time when Spurs will start being serious about winning things. If you offered £190m for Sanchez and had unlimited funds to pay him £300K a week, what damage would this do to Arsenal? It is those special players that we need to attract and that is impossible until we have a different owner mindset!

6.) 16 Jul 2017 12:52:24
What a joke of a statement! Raver!
Give the club some time! We need to ship out before we can add!
All our big players are staying!, yes we have lost walker but for 50Mil + good business for a guy who is hit and miss!

7.) 16 Jul 2017 14:14:44
I don't agre with most things that the oracle writes but (sadly) he's right! I think with the lsck of investment, Wembley pitch and a thin squad (+ potential injuries) we will be lucky to finish 6th. Almost certainly no cup or CL football for the first year in our new stadium. The only positive is that we are likely (either by transfer dealings or club sale) to be debt free relatively quickly, then hopefully we can become a force.
I doubt (for most of us 50 somethings) we will see success in the next 10 years!
Sadly Nobby.

{Ed025's Note - at least your being positive nobby.. :)

8.) 16 Jul 2017 15:01:02
Great post Oracle. Jamiek, exactly, we are now selling players to create space in the squad for new players.

9.) 16 Jul 2017 15:06:12
Oracle, if financial fair play worked you think you would of won the league 3 times in the last decade? What a joke of a statement, arsenal would of won it 10 times then under that analogy!

10.) 16 Jul 2017 18:17:18
I've never heard a gooner blaming FFPR'S before on their failings.

11.) 16 Jul 2017 18:20:18
Spot on Oracle.

12.) 17 Jul 2017 17:01:16
Ellis mentioned Arsenal once again lol.

13.) 17 Jul 2017 20:28:02
Dear Amoeba brain, you are on a spurs site talking (or trying to) about spurs! You are so deluded its beyond words.

please can tottenham just get on and make their mind up over the kane saga, either sell him or come out and say he is not leaving under any circumstance. if he is going get it done and get new players in now. the win on sat was fantastic but son alone will not be able to cope with the season ahead on his own.

This is Man City trying to get the price down I reckon, but they've picked on the wrong Chairman. As much as I dislike Levy he will eat City for breakfast.

02 Aug 2021 16:41:53
if its true kane never turned up for training to force a move then the man is a discrace. as much as I love the man he will tarnish his reputation amongst spurs fans. I know he wants to go but he needs to be more professional about it, this is the club that made him who he is today so a bit of respect needed remember who pays your wages and you signed a new long term contract no one forced you.

Same here Steve, no name on the back of a shirt is bigger than the badge on the front, get him out of the club and rebuild the team with the 150 million, he's been a legend at spurs but will miss 10 plus games every season with injuries and hasn't showed up in cup finals.

25 Jul 2021 19:47:18
always hearing we going to sign this one that one but in fact we have signed no one except a goalkeeper for free, a couple of weeks and the new season is under way, do we never learn that players need time to settle unless we not going to buy.

Pathetic Stevie, our first signing for months his a loan deal which will be music to Enics ears, their highlight of the summer is Anthony joshua fighting at the stadium mate.

we should be doing everything we can to keep toby at spurs, one of the best centre backs in the world, the story linking him to roma is very hard to belive as they have a lower pay structure than we do and are a much lesser team than us. we seem to be taking an age again to get things done, the danni cabellos deal is a no brainer even if we use ericksen as part of the deal. we should be moving players like lemela, wanyama, tripper, lorente on asap to make room for new players. coys get things done.

keep dreaming, no rabbit out of the hat this season, think mr levy has made his stance on incoming players quite clear, we need fresh blood to push on for the season coming we can't afford to stagnate. all the top sides have invested in quality players, and while I think we have the strongest starting 11 in the prem it is strength in depth that will carry teams to a title or a final. I have said it before on here our bench is weakish compared to other sides and we don't have players that can come on and change a game.

great performance but as we all know its one step forwards and two steps back with spurs. we need to follow this up against burnley and then leeds, the side we put out against city was great but I would make one change and that is rodon for davies.

we are run by 2 tossers who care more about lining there own pockets than invest in the team, now we have lost out on first choice players and will have to put up with more dross because the penny pinching ****ers in charge wanted to save 10p.

we probably won't buy what we need this window because that's what we do. we have the best manager in a long time but will lose him with our lack of ambition.
