Terrible news that spurs are parting company with one of the best defenders in the league in Toby alderwereld, yes his contract rubs out next season but would have rather kept him for another year and take the 25 million hit as he is so good,

Seems we’re potentially going through a cycle of giving up/ selling a lot of experience and acquiring some highly touted younger players, I can’t help but recall the quote I believe by Mourinho “You can’t win anything with kids” or words to that effect.

Alan Hansen’s comments they were Yellow

I feel we’re being a little slow, however the only thing is that there hasn’t actually been many signings to date.

That what I’m telling myself anyway

I agree raver I’d keep Toby all day long, I’m surprised clubs aren’t queuing up if I’m honest. Strange one for me that.

we should be doing everything we can to keep toby at spurs, one of the best centre backs in the world, the story linking him to roma is very hard to belive as they have a lower pay structure than we do and are a much lesser team than us. we seem to be taking an age again to get things done, the danni cabellos deal is a no brainer even if we use ericksen as part of the deal. we should be moving players like lemela, wanyama, tripper, lorente on asap to make room for new players. coys get things done.

The Roma offer to Toby is apparently for slightly less money but for 4 years, taking him to 34. I can’t see us offering a contract for that long, which is why I also can’t see us going for Alves.

Not sure Ceballos wants to leave RM or that Perez is willing to sanction the sale, I’d bet Levy wants to offload Eriksen in any deal with RM, but Zidane apparently doesn’t want Eriksen.

My biggest fear is both Toby and Eriksen walk away for free next summer or they get heavily discounted in January.

Couldn't agree more Stevie. I have a different perspective about our team when he's out there. don't care if he's still with us at 34. Great players age differently. SIGN HIM UP.
