At least things seem to be moving in the right direction.

Perisic - signing imminent
Harry Winks - told he has no future at the club.

I see Conte has now approved Ali to leave the club.
It sickens me. These boys have the world at their feet. Paid absolute fortunes and still cannot put a shift in.
He’s had 3 mangers to impress and failed miserably with all 3.

Swap Dele for Georginio Wijnaldum possibility maybe. I’d take that.

Ruben Nevez… any interest in him from Spurs Ed?

DR-THFC

{Ed002's Note - Ruben Neves (DM/CM) Wolves would look to get as close to €50M as they can should circumstances dictate Neves is sold, but they certainly don't want to sell and have made clear that he has a long-term contract and there have been no approaches at this time. Mr Mourinho is a huge fan and has tried to take him to three different clubs in the past - and he would, I am sure be interested in taking him to Roma but their focus right now iselsewhere. He has always been seen as an option to replace Matic at Manchester United, but they have other priorities to deal with first and preferred options - although they are not working out well so Wolves might see an offer. His agent has been actively offering him around and has spoken with Juventus who are looking to offload players but none that I would expect Wolves to be interested in. The Spurs coach would like him as an upgrade to Sissoko and Ndombele but it is likely both would need to leave as they are looking at another addition in midfield as well. Arsenal have preferred options but his agent is keen to have him move on so they cannot be discounted - although failing to sell Xhaka will likely take them out of the picture.}

You having a laugh ruben neves. He's wolves through and through. And if he does eventually leave it will be to a big club. Also forget adama you had your chance last year but we're to tight to pay up.

H Eds,

Any news on who’s looking at Sanchez, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, and Aurier,

DR-THFC

{Ed002's Note - Davinson Sanchez (CB) is wanted by Sevilla. Harry Winks (DM/CM) Spurs have told interested sides he is not for sale but if the player were to ask to leave the coach would be supportive of that. Aston Villa moved on from Pape Sarr and made an enquiy about his availability. If West Ham were to sell Rice they might offer an option - as perhaps Manchester United might as a possible Matic replacement. He would provide an interesting option for Everton. Leicester might also be a possible destination if they were to lose Ndidi, but they have a preferred target in mind. Southampton have declared an interest. Moussa Sissoko (DM/CM) Available but no interest being shown by clubs in Europe. MLS does not appear to be an option but Chinese and Middle Eastern clubs may be interested. Serge Aurier (RB) Was a fall back option for PSG - number 4 on their list but that can be scratched. Cheap option for Milan - but he will need to be very cheap - they will walk if Spurs want to play hard ball - I would scratch it as he would be no more than cover. I am not aware of any interest in Dier (DM).

1.) 02 Aug 2021 17:06:21
Thanks Ed

No interest in Dier - That sounds about right
Levy probably has 60m price tag on him.

2.) 06 Aug 2021 19:29:48
Hi Ed, anything to share more on the incoming? There are talks about Tomiyasu, would that be something that is happening? Also, anything on Damsgaard, or other midfielders we may be looking to sign? Much appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Mikkel Damsgaard (LW/AM) Spurs asked after a price for the player at the behest of Mr Mourinho who may have taken his interest on to Roma. Now Spurs have lost the plot rather and have made a particularly low offer. Real Madrid consider him an option at the right price if they sell Isco. Sampdoria saying Southampton and Leeds have both enquired about the availability of the player who only joined last summer. Juventus see him as a potential addition. They have told Milan that they are not open to being given their "off cuts" in exchange and want a huge cash deal - but Milan would need to sell Leao to bring him in - and they also need the money to complete the Tonali deal. Sampdoria are reluctant to sell but I suspect more clubs will be showing an interest.
Takehiro Tomiyasu (CB/RB) Spurs have expressed an interest because of his versatility and Atalanta are looking for discussions as an option to Doecki. Spurs value the player rather less than his club so work to do with others interested.}

3.) 07 Aug 2021 17:49:30
Thanks Ed, any truth to Dusan Vlahovic rumors? Are Spurs only looking to sign a striker only if Kane leaves, or would want to sign one otherwise too? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Dusan Vlahovic (S) Milan see the player as an Ibrahimovic back up and possible replacement - Spurs have the same view in respect of Kane - and Dortmund do in respect of Haaland. Roma, Juventus and Atletico Madrid offer options which would see him as a starter. Inter want the future of Lautaro Martinez and Lukaku resolved else they will also look to him and Zapata. Manchester United have had him watched. Manchester City approached Fiorentina and were told that the asking price will be set above €50M which came as a surprise and it would need to be a single cash payment but I rather doubt that would tempt them to sell now. An ex-player has recommended to player to the club as a lower cost solution to Haaland. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool to Fiorentina but Spurs have already jumped the gun if it looks like Kane is leaving. Player wants to stay another year and Fiorentina want a lengthy contract extension. I would think he will stay another year. There is a compelling case for him to stay where he is for at least another year and perhaps sees what happens in Munich.}

4.) 08 Aug 2021 09:57:46
Thanks Ed, that sounds complicated. Any insight into who Spurs are looking at as a Kane replacement, if not Vlahovic? Also any truth to rumors around City offering Bernardo Silva or Jesus as part of offer for Kane? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - They want Vlahovic but have looked at other more versatile forwards like Marcus Thuram and Joaquin Correa, as well as traditional strikers in Sasa Kalajdzic, Alassane Plea and Matthew Hoppe.}

5.) 08 Aug 2021 12:34:05
You are awesome Ed002, do you see Spurs signing any of them this window? The media have only reported interest in Hoppe.

Also, Times and Gary Jacob are reporting that Spurs have agreed a fee with Inter for Lautaro Martinez, any truth there? It is completely out of the blue! Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I should have included Lautaro Martinez on the list. Spurs have certainly made an enquiry but I discounted it as the player would also want Champions League football - so he will need persuading. Inter had been trying to avoid selling him but they must raise funds to buy and they are looking to add Zapata to replace Lukaku and Joaquin Correa if Martinez leaves. Giacomo Raspadori is another an option. Inter may have been pushed in to a corner with offers from two sides being rejected for the impressive Martin Satriano.}

Tottenham's pursuit of a new manager is now said to be down a two-horse race between Nuno Espirito Santo and Graham Potter

If Levy names either one of these as our new manager. When things don’t work out. Levy should be sacked.
I cannot believe we aren’t going back in for Conte. Levy needs to start listening to people who understand football.

As for the new director of football. I don’t see the point. As Levy has to approve everything anyway. And let’s face it, he’s made some serious f**k ups of late.

1.) 28 Jun 2021 11:28:45
At the rate supposed candidates are falling by the wayside I’m beginning to expect The Raver to reappear and be appointed as the new manager.

2.) 30 Jun 2021 18:28:47
I’m hoping he’s waiting to appoint Mancini after the Euro’s
😂😂😂 be nice though.

3.) 30 Jun 2021 22:03:41
I thought The Raver claimed he looked like Lamela?

4.) 01 Jul 2021 08:19:09
Nope you have got our castoff manager nuno. So enjoy the boring stale football you will watch and listen to the garbage he spouts after every game. By xmas you will be singing nuno out. Why? Yes he done good at wolves, but that's it. We are wolves, when did we last do any good, any half decent manager could have done the same.

5.) 04 Jul 2021 18:17:12
Demon, so what happened to the Managers before him?

I seem to remember him getting Valencia to play very attacking, so maybe he just adapts to the squad.

6.) 11 Jul 2021 19:51:06
Nuno gets appointed and The Raver reappears . I’m telling you, he doesn’t look anything like Lamela.

James Maddison…

Be a good signing.

Thoughts lads.

DR-THFC

1.) 04 Aug 2022 21:20:39
I would love him at spurs mate, top quality and Kane and son will be getting a extra 10 goals with him in the squad, I know Arsenal are interested too but he would be wasting his time joining up with the Thursday night club.

{Ed014's Note - please, please take him mate and Tielemens with him!

2.) 04 Aug 2022 21:28:44
Cheers ED I didn't know it was December already, both class and welcome at spurs.

{Ed014's Note - I’ve got everything crossed you get them both mate??????????

07 Mar 2022 19:18:33
We really need 3 points tonight.

C’mon boys, come out of the blocks flying, couple of early goals would be a dream.

The results sort of went our way the weekend. We all know what that means.

DR-THFC

1.) 07 Mar 2022 21:37:02
Dog and Gun one week and the Brazil national side the following week, great performance tonight.

2.) 07 Mar 2022 22:56:47
Possibly the most confusing team I can recall us having. One game Top 4 quality, though Everton were pretty bad, the next mid table Championship quality.

Never know what we are going to get.

3.) 08 Mar 2022 06:51:08
It's not difficult to understand, any team that comes at us and tries to play gets picked off by Kane and Son. Any team that sits behind the ball in numbers eventually beats us as we haven't got anyone creative enough to break them down and sooner or later one of our defenders or Hugo has a moment that gifts a goal!

4.) 08 Mar 2022 10:18:41
The 2 new boys have made a big difference in my opinion.

Totally agree mwheels. I’d move Bergwijn on and go for a create player.

5.) 08 Mar 2022 13:17:10
If we ignore the 1 minute of complete madness from Leicester, and a good goal on his debut about 3 years ago Bergwjin has been a total flop. Take the money from Ajax and run I say!

6.) 08 Mar 2022 15:35:30
Agree bentencur and kuleveski have been a big upgrade on the ones who have left.

19 Feb 2022 18:05:01
I’ve never rated Hugo. He must make 6 to 8 mistakes a season. Every f###### season.

DR-THFC

01 Feb 2022 12:30:49
I wonder what Conte’s mood is like this morning.
Not a great transfer window. Cannot believe there’s not a right back in the world we could have got.
I guess on the plus side we got rid of the deadwood. That being said not entirely sure if we’re in a stronger position. I guess time will tell on the 2 Juventus boys. They can’t be any worse. ??.

DR-THFC

1.) 01 Feb 2022 12:45:50
If Bentancur can provide improved protection for the back line, perhaps we can pick up a few points . not that I thought that was a position of weakness. We still seem devoid of creativity in the middle which will leave us with the same disconnect between the back and the front . unless Skipp or Winks is going to be freed up to push forward more.

31 Jan 2022 16:24:12
What do we think lads.

Things moving along. Getting rid of dead wood.
Still need a forward, right back and centre half.

DR-THFC

1.) 31 Jan 2022 16:51:57
Seemingly a midfield clear out for sure if they all go through. I keep thinking the squad is going to be a bit light …but none of them made any impact the last couple of seasons. (Gil really hasn’t been given a chance yet) .

Financially the payroll is taking a sizable cut as it stands.

2.) 31 Jan 2022 17:47:42
Surely they’ll be more signings. I hope so anyway.
As you say a little light. A big name centre half. And a right back.
If Deli goes to Everton for £40m they should reinvest that.
The Barcelona boy will be going somewhere. Maybe something there.
Gil, didn’t get a chance however he looked a bit lightweight for me. Another Lamela IMO.

3.) 31 Jan 2022 18:10:05
We have begun to clear the deadwood, but there is still loads to go!
We need to get a couple more in, but I'm not remotely optimistic! As for the players we have bought already I don't see where the Sweedish lad gets a game for us? He is a winger as far a I know so will have to displace Lucas to get a kick?
We still need a proper right back, 5 years and counting on that, a creative midfielder and proper striker alternative would be good too, although the latter one can probably wait until the summer, we have waited 6 years so 4 more months seems neither here nor there!

4.) 31 Jan 2022 22:50:19
Dele for $40m, looks more like we threw him out with the bath water.

As I said a matter of opinion.

There was no way on earth Roy Keane would win the World Cup coming from Ireland. So personally I wouldn’t compare that one.
That being said PV had the same chance to win the Champions League and Treble but didn’t achieve that.

Vieira is better than Keane, that’s obviously just a matter of opinion, I would assume it’s fair to say that ALL Arsenal fans would say Vieira is better. Personally, not as a spurs fan, but as a fan of football I would say Keane just edged it. Both terrific players and the best of that era by a country mile.
so now let’s just compare apples for apples. we can only base this on their time spent in the premier league together.

Games
RK 366 - PV 307
Games Won
RK 220 - PV 186
Goals
RK 39 - PV 31
Yellow cards
RK 69 - PV 76
Premier Leagues
RK 7 - PV 3

As for talking nonsense you want to listen to Paul Merson and Martin Keown

Merson,

The football Pep Guardiola played in Spain and Germany won’t work in the premier league.
He should’ve put a bet on that. ???

Keown

No Tottenham players would get in the Arsenal team. This statement was just before we smashed you 3-0. He got absolutely slaughtered by virtually everyone in football.

I’d listen to Roy Keane over these 2 all day long.

DR-THFC

{Ed014's Note - I endeavour not to be biased and give an honest opinion and having watched them both it’s Vieira all day long. World Cup winner too.

Keane whilst a quality player was also a vile thug and talks bollox most of the time, even failed his country!

Maybe you should have a listen to Jermaine Anus and Tim nice but dim, now there is a pair of clowns.

So your statement read, we will come above you if you keep your manager Nuno.

Chelsea enquired about Jesus, then they were informed Sterling was available for transfer for the same price and decided not to pursue Jesus.
You believe what you want.

To finish off.
You are a very childish person. And don’t really know what banter is.
So this will be my last comment to you period as you really need to grow up.
Even your own fans on your Arsenal page think very little of you, I think maybe you need to get out a little bit more,

BYE.

They did make a late move. Then they found out Sterling was available

Keep up. Silly.

Please don’t think players will pick Arsenal over a top 4 club.
He’s gone to Arsenal because he will get a game.

And it is like you to be completely wrong, …. As always,

Your exact words last season.
Arsenal will finish higher than Tottenham, I rest my case,

Antonio seems to think he is. That's good enough for me.

Richarlison has a better goal record for Brazil.

We cannot compare apples for apples in the PL as Jesus played for Man City.

We can review again at the end of the season.
