Hi Eds

Do you have any potential transfers news/ summary this summer for Spurs please? Many Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Potential Departures:
Brandon Austin (G) Out of contract in the summer.
Djed Spence (RB) Available and offered around with Genoa taking him on loan this season and perhaps being offered a deal as part payment for a player Spurs are keen on.
Pedro Porro (RB) Manchester City would like to take back to replace Kyle Walker. A move seems unlikely.
Emerson Royal (RB) Agent says he is being priced out of a move to the Middle East.
Ben Davies (LB) Available but will be tough to find a buyer.
Sergio Reguilion (LB) Will look to sell. Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund offer options. Brentford perhaps a loan option.
Tanguy Ndombele (DM/CM) Spurs will look to sell even if buy option is not taken up. Coiuld potentially be released as a Free Agent.
Giovani Lo Celso (CM) Will be sold. Barcelona offered a short-term solution but that has passed. Aston Villa may offer an option.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM/DM) Juventus will look to a cash plus player deal with Spurs but if they cannot include a player or have an initial loan they will walk away. Milan, Atletico and Lyon may offer options.
Ryan Sessegnon (LWB/LW/LM) Available but will be tough to find a buyer after a season blighted by injury but Galatasaray may look to a loan to buy deal.
Bryan Gil (LW) Probably available - Feyenoord offer an option. Brighton want a loan.
Ivan Perisic (LW/M) Available as a Free Agent.
Richarlison (W/F) Spurs will look to recover what they can by selling him or look to a part exchange if an interested side can be found. Maybe the Middle East.
Heung-min Son (F) Huge offer from Saudi Arabia last summer. Spurs will look to a new contract.

Players Scouted:
Denzel Dumfries (RB) Bayern Munich interest has gone. Inter offered him to Chelsea as a CA replacement - and that may yet be an option but Chelsea opted for another. Arsenal could be interested as they have been playing Ben White out of his natural CB position. Aston Villa are looking to make an offer. Spurs and Manchester United offer wildcard options.
Mo Simakan (CB/RB) Versatile and an option for Arsenal and Spurs. RBL will not want to sell.
Alessandro Buongiorno (CB) Juventus fear losing Bremer, Chelsea Silva, Inter Bastoni and all consider him as a possible replacement. In the case of Chelsea he is not first choice. Spurs see him as a potential addition at Centre Back. Roma are also interested but Mourinho departing will likely end that.
Riccardo Calafiori (CB) Spurs and Brighton have sent scouts. Juventus offer an option.
Jean-Clair Todibo (CB) Various scouts, including a very high-end independent scout and ex-PL player who has recently been helping Manchester United and Liverpool, together with scouts from Newcastle, Aston VIlla and Lyon have been looking. Bayern Munich, Athletico Madrid, Chelsea, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United have declared an interest, but Nice are still looking for perhaps €50M to sell but Manchester United and Chelsea have a preferred first choice additions - and Nice would ask for the loan of Lesley Ugochukwu as part of any deal with Chelsea. Nice could look to block a sale to Manchester United fearing a backlash from their fans but it will not deter the club who will look to add a couple of high quality CBs this summer. Spurs might provide a wildcard option but I would expect Liverpool to look to other options first. Player has made clear his preference is for a return to Barcelona or a move to Athletico.
Jonathan Tah (CB) BL may cash in next summer with interest from Newcastle - down the list of CB options for Chelsea and Spurs.
Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Everton want a new contract but Spurs, Manchester United and Newcastle have an interest. Ancelotti has spoken to Solari about him and scouts were sent to watch him against Newcastle, but Solari is not convinced that English players settle well on the continent. Manchester United will likely need a complete rebuild at CB with departures in the summer and so he will likely be an option and they will look to a cheap deal before the end of June exploiting Everton's financial plight. Spurs have a need for a CB. Newcastle has a compelling need to add one or two younger CBs. A wildcard would be Manchester City.
Gleison Bremer (CB) Juventus do not want to sell and the player wishes to stay but the club need to raise funds which has led to his representatives testing the waters with Manchester United, Spurs and Chelsea to see if there is interest. He may well emerge as a first choice target for Spurs and Manchester United – will cost perhaps €70M.
Piero Hincapie (CB) Interest of Nottingham Forest will go nowhere. Scouted and rejected by Spurs as not being ready for the Premier League, but he may well be now and they are struggling to find a target to join them. Open to a move to Liverpool as they look for cover but his expectation is to be a starter and their interest is not as advanced as supporters think with no agreement reached. Milan and Roma have both sent scouts. The club will look to hang on to the core of Tapsoba, Hincapie and Tah.
Edmond Tapsoba (CB) Arsenal had interest rejected in 2021 and Leicester made an approach last summer to take him as a Fofana replacement. I doubt Bayer Leverkusen would want to sell this summer and Arsenal will have preferred options. Spurs may look to a deal and he may well be their first choice ahead of Laport and Van de Ven.
Tosin Adarabioyo (CB) Spurs interest in the Free Agent may remain.
Ben Godfrey (CB/RB/DM) Versatile player who Newcastle and Spurs have an interest in. Rangers offer a most unlikely option.
James Garner (DM/CM) Will be easy to sell and Spurs need to replace -Emile Hojbjerg. Wildcard may be Newcastle.
Morten Frendrup (CM/DM) Versatile midfield player that Juventus are keen to sign. Noted by Spurs when scouting Radu Dragusin. Would be an alternate to Thuram or Manu Kone for Liverpool and they did have a well respected ex-PL player and high-end scout at the game against Inter at the end of December - so perhaps something have come of that. Crystal Palace and West Ham have sent scouts. Genoa have no interest in selling and have extended his contract.
Douglas Luiz (CM/DM) Juventus failed with an offer of a straight swap deal for Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz in the summer. Arsenal interest has moved on to a preferred option but if they are unable to sign him and if Partey or Jorginho move on, then interest may return. Spurs may offer an option. Aston Villa will resist a sale. Bayern Munich have now turned their attention to him. Wildcard would be a return to Manchester City to replace KP.
Hayden Hackney (DM) Manchester United and Spurs have sent scouts. The issue will be playing time if he moves from Middlesborough.
Archie Gray (DM/CM/RB) Leeds kiddie having an excellent season in the Championship and showing versatility. Will not be for sale but Leeds have noted Crystal Palace have enquired. Scouts from Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs have attended games but it would be a waste of the player with these clubs looking to utilise him in the first team with all having preferred options. Borussia Dortmund or Bayern Munich may provide a wildcard solution.
Conor Gallagher (CM) Borussia Dortmund, Spurs, West Ham, and Crystal Palace have declared an interest - possible departure for the summer - but the player has told the club he wishes to stay but has not signed a new contract. An offer from West Ham was turned down last summer. Chelsea are aware that Spurs are likely to look to an offer and they have asked for talks - but the asking price is high and the player wants to stay at Chelsea for now. Spurs will likely ty an early low-ball offer knowing that Chelsea need assured funds by June 30 - but they pretty much have what they need already. Newcastle offer a wildcard option but the player has no interest in moving there. Chelsea considered offering him as a makeweight in a deal for Moises Caicedo but the player had no interest. Al-Ettifaq have made amends to Chelsea after they complained of an illegal approach to Conor Gallagher by Steven Gerrard. Perhaps Spurs will be able to strike a deal in the Summer.
Bryan Cristante (CM) Spurs are interested. At the right price Roma will sell. Unlikely.
Joao Gomes (CM) An alternate to CG for Spurs and a cheap option to Joao Neves for Manchester United.
Lucas Bergvall (CM) Discussions were ongoing between his club and Barcelona over a January move in to the Barcelona youth and then Barcelona B set up. Spurs had an interest but he could not move to England in January and Spurs signed a pre-contract for him to join this summer. Very well thought of and certainly one for the future.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (CM) Manchester United could look to KDH to help refresh their midfield. Brighton are keen. Brentford, Spurs and Fulham offer options. An Everton enquiry will go nowhere. I suspect one for the summer but promotion and FFP issues may be relevant.
Sebastian Szymanski (AM) Having a great season for Fenerbahce attracting the serious interest of Napoli and scouted as an option by Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs. Recommended to Liverpool last summer but moved to Fenerbahce from Dinamo Moscow after a successful loan.
Bilal El Khannous (AM) Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina have a declared interest and Spurs have scouted the player on a number of occasions as a Lo Celso replacement. Whilst Genk do not want to sell, the money they could raise is very much needed and a discussion has been held with Bayer Leverkusen. Scouts from Liverpool and Marseille attended a game against Cukaricki.
Pepe (LW) Porto could look to cash in if they get a good offer with Galeno doing well and plenty of cover. Has been scouted by a number of English sides including Spurs, Arsenal, Brighton and Chelsea but there have been no approaches to the club aside from the interest of PSG. A change of agent may get him a move.
Oscar Gloukh (AM) Only joined RBS in January 2023 but has impressed scouts from Spurs, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City. Monchi sees him as an addition he would like to make. Won’t be moving.
Heorhiy/Georgiy Sudakov (AM) Brighton and Barcelona interest has gone with the outrageous financial demands. Arsenal have been regularly scouting the player but it has gone no further. Seen by Chelsea as an option to Arsen Zakharyan who they were repeatedly blocked from signing and eventually moved to Real Sociedad - but they will not pay the asking price. Manchester United have sent scouts but it is hard to see their need for an AM player. Spurs, Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa Napoli and Bayern Munich have also sent scouts but none have declared an interest. Juventus see him as a reliable replacement for Mohamed Ihattaren as they search for an AM player but again the finances are a significant issue but they may well win out.
Eberechi Eze (AM/W) Crystal Palace have no intention of selling the player who struggled until he was at QPR and is now excelling at Palace. An enquiry from Spurs and another from Newcastle were turned away. Arsenal have sent scouts on a few occasions but have preferred targets and dwindling space in the squad. A Wildcard option could see him as a Kevin de Bruyne replacement at Manchester City - but he is not first choice.
Antonio Nusa (LW/RW/AM) Chelsea are looking at preferred options as well as Nusa, who they don't value as highly as the asking price and have now recalled Diego Moreira to likely end their interest. Real Madrid interest has shifted to others. Juventus, Spurs, Manchester United, Brentford and Arsenal have sent scouts with Spurs asking for a price - but it is hard to see where he would fit in without departures. Brentford agreed a price with Brugge but the player was unsure. One to watch for the future but seen as a bit of a flake.
Federico Chiesa (LW/F) A third party has informed Juventus of possible interest from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and with sanctions this may lead Juventus to consider a sale, although they would prefer a new contract. Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal interest seems to have gone. Liverpool would be an option if Salah were sold but it seems unlikely as they seem well stocked for versatile forwards, particularly left-sided forwards - although if Luiz were to leave he comes a good option. Spurs may try and get agreement early on. Newcastle offer a potential wildcard option. Seen as a Felix replacement by Atletico. Ongoing injury concerns.
Roony Bardghji (RW/AM) Left footed kiddie who has attracted attention from Ajax, Spurs and Real Madrid in addition to the long-term interest of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and PSV. Chelsea and Real Madrid would utilise him in the development squads and Chelsea may look to send him to Strasbourg which may not suit the player. Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen may offer options after sending scouts. Manchester United offer a wildcard option. Copenhagen will be reluctant to sell but are aware that interest will grow.
Pedro Neto (RW/LW) Versatile and looking to move on. Agent has been approached by Manchester United, who will need an Antony replacement, and Arsenal. Agent has also approached Liverpool who will likely need a replacement for Salah - and Neto fits the bill of a lift footed RW although is not first choice for Klopp, he could become so once Klopp has gone. It is unclear why Arsenal are so keen and they clearly have other priorities, but they are. Juventus fear losing young left-footed RW in Matias Soule and may look to Neto. Spurs are another side who may look to Neto but a move seems unlikely - as does a move to Newcastle who are a less attractive option. Prior interest of Manchester City has gone with the emergence of Phil Foden. May be wanted in the Middle East which would push his value up. I would expect Wolves to now look for perhaps more than £50M for him.
Jonathan Rowe (LW/RW/AM) Brentford and Spurs are both very keen and have formally declared an interest.
Raphinha (RW/LW) Has struggled to displace Dembele or Ansu Fati on a regular basis and will be sold if Barcelona can recover the fee they paid for him, else they will keep him. Manchester United or Newcastle may be an option. Even Spurs, Liverpool or Arsenal perhaps. Barcelona will look to sell to the Middle East to get the best possible price and have spoken with Michael Emenalo with Al-Hilal interested.
Nico Williams (LW/RW) Young Basque winger and brother to Inaki who has eased himself in to the first team over the last two seasons. Terse response from the Spanish U21 set up (along the lines of "he does not score many goals for an attacker") when told he was changing his allegiance to Ghana, like his brother - and that led to him changing back to Spain. There was plenty of interest in him so a contract extension and buy out clause were awarded to the player at the start of 2022 and again in December 2023, pricing him out of a move to Barcelona at €50M plus a significant signing on fee. The Aston Villa coach wishes to be reunited and they will push for a deal in the summer but he may opt to stay for a year or two more after signing a new contract. Looked at by numerous Premier League clubs including Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid. Chelsea may look to an offer if their first choice is unobtainable.
Timo Werner (F) At the right price Frankfurt will take him from RBL. His agent is looking for a permanent return to England and Spurs jave an initial loan with an option to buy. Roma may offer a better deal to RBL and the player.
Kyogo Furuhashi (S/W) Celtic will look to scalp Spurs financially if an approach is made.
Mathys Tel (F) Bayern are not looking to sell and whilst there may be interest from Spurs it would not be as a Kane replacement. Tel's representative is a complete flake and has constantaly linked the player with other clubs and says that Manchester United scouts spotted him whilst watching another player. He has also cited Liverpool and Arsenal constantly ringing him. Marseille offered a return to France as a starter but his value has gone up considerably since then. The player has made it clear he wants to stay at Bayern Munich, and he will.
Santiago Gimenez (S) Having another good season at Feyenoord and attracting interest of Arsenal, Chelsea, Lille, Spurs, Juventus, Real Madrid, Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt. He has become the first choice Harry Kane replacement for Spurs after they lost out on their preferred option in the summer but not first choice for Chelsea or Real Madrid - although don't discount either. Spurs have an advantage that Feyenoord are interested in a Spurs player, Barcelona may offer a wildcard option following a discussion between Deco and someone they are trying to recruit. Others, such as Atletico, Marseille, Crystal Palace and West Ham can be discounted. Lille and Eintracht Frankfurt would only be viable if they make significant sales and others drop out. Cost could be pretty high - they will look for perhaps €55M - ending interest of most of these clubs. Don't discount Napoli who are planning for life after Osimhen.
Albert Gudmundsson (S) Fiorentina offer rejected. Newcastle, Inter, Juventus and Spurs offer options.
Ivan Toney (S) Brentford do not want to sell but are aware Toney may look to move up a step and will reluctantly look to perhaps £70M as a sale price in the summer but may have to accept less. Newcastle - if they can sell their project to him given - offer the chance of a return to the club who previously could find no use for him in the three years he was there. Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham have all sent scouts on more than one occasion to watch him prior to his ban, but Chelsea have preferred options meaning Arsenal are likely best placed to complete a transfer. A wildcard might be Spurs or Manchester United.
Alexander Isak (S) Newcastle have no intention of selling Isak but it is likely either Isak or Bruno Guimaraes may need to be sold to stay on the right side of the line for financial reasons. Barcelona see him as a potential Lewandowski replacement. Down the list of targets for Arsenal but Spurs may offer a solution.
Benjamin Sesko (S/F) RBL could be offered a quick profit. His agent has not stopped offering the player around since his move to RBL. Described by a well known ex-Premier League player and high-end scout as "raw but improving". Was on the list for Spurs as a potential Kane replacement and Newcastle enquired but continue to struggle to sell their project. Chelsea spoke with his agent but have preferred options – but they are struggling to sign targets so cannot be discounted. Milan offer an option as a potential Giroud replacement. A wildcard may be either Manchester United or Arsenal. Milan will be favourites as they want Sesko and Zirkee.
Serhou Guirassy (S) Stuttgart are working hard to remove the release clause (which is to some extent a red herring) and the player is unlikely to be interested in joining any mid-table English side and will wait for the best opportunity with perhaps Spurs, Manchester United or Newcastle making an offer for the summer. Borussia Dortmund have him as a summer target. Milan may offer a wildcard option if they cannot sign Sesko. A move to West Ham is perhaps a wildcard option.
Dominic Solanke (S) Arsenal and Spurs have been scouting Solanke. Newcastle have a declared interest. West Ham offer an option and he will be their first choice.
Randal Kolo Muani (S/F)
Omar Marmoush (S/W) Eintracht Frankfurt have no intention of selling the player who only joined in the summer. His agent says there is interest from Newcastle, Spurs and Brentford. Apparently noted by Liverpool scouts when watching another player.

Hi ed002 can I ask what strikers we are looking at for the summer? Are we interested in toney, gyokeres or gimenez? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Alejo Veliz as an exception and post loan may be the priority. Ivan Toney would be more likely to move elsewhere. Benjamin Sesko likely no longer an option. Santiago Gimenez perhaps but is not keen. Dominic Solanke - One of a couple of Bournemouth players Spurs have been scouting. Serhou Guirassy interest has faded.}

Ed002 are we in talks for nusa?

{Ed002's Note - Antonio Nusa (LW/RW/AM) Last summer, with Noa Lang departed and Skoras arriving the player asked for confirmation from Della that he will be given playing time in exchange for staying and rejecting the interest of Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona where he would not be given first team opportunities in the short term. Chelsea are looking at preferred options as well as Nusa, who they don't value as highly as the asking price. Juventus, Spurs, Brentford and Arsenal have sent scouts with Spurs asking for a price - but it is hard to see where he would fit in. One to watch for the future.}

Hi ed002, rumors that we will prioritise a midfielder now and Gallagher is fist choice and Chelsea willing to sell at around £50m, any truth and will we try sign him? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Conor Gallagher (CM) Borussia Dortmund, Spurs, West Ham, and Crystal Palace have declared an interest - possible departure for the summer - but the player has told the club he wishes to stay but has not signed a new contract. An offer from West Ham was turned down last. Chelsea are aware that Spurs are likely to look to an offer and they have asked for talks - but the asking price is high and the player wants to stay at Chelsea. Newcastle offer a wildcard option but the player has no interest in moving there. Chelsea considered offering him as a makeweight in a deal for Moises Caicedo but the player had no interest. Al-Ettifaq have made amends to Chelsea after they complained of an illegal approach to Conor Gallgher by Steven Gerrard.}

Hi Eds

Any insight into Spurs dealings currently? Way too many rumors and appears no outgoings. Please tell us what is happening with Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Reguillon, Ndombele, Hjobjerg, and Gil.

Also, apart from Johnson, are Spurs looking to get anyone in? Is the home grown quota an issue currently? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note -
{Ed002's Note - Hugo Lloris (G) Signed a two year extension but Spurs could look to a replacement this summer with a year to run. Lloris will have options in the Middle East. Wildcard would be Lazio, PSG or Inter but he rejected Lazio. Would like his contract cancelled and may well head to the Middle East.
Davinson Sanchez (CB) Available but will be tough to find a buyer. Offered to Nottingham Forest.
Eric Dier (CB) Available but will be tough to find a buyer. Perhaps the Middle East.
Japhet Tanganga (CB) Torino want a loan but that does not suit Spurs without an obligation to buy.
Sergio Reguilion (LB) Will look to sell. Real Sociedad or Fulham seem possible destinations. Down the list as cover for Manchester United.
Tanguy Ndombele (DM/CM) Will look to sell and being offered around - Inter may offer a loan with an option to buy. A loan to Genoa has been requested.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) Being offered around - way down the midfield options lists for Manchester United and Atletico.
Bryan Gil (LW) Available if fit. Sevilla may accept a loan but Spurs want him sold and can only manage one more loan.

Yes, Spurs still want to add a striker and probably a CB.

I don't have the time to look at the HG situation.}

Only 4 games into the new season and spurs have already lost the only chance of winning a trophy this year, as history shows it's the only one you have won in over 30 years, better luck next year 😂🤣😂🤣😂.

Like all my fellow Spurs fans I am still on a high after the great win over United last Saturday.

However, I still feel that Postecoglou and Levy need to sign another striker before the window closes on 1st September. I seriously think and feel that SPURS should offer LIVERPOOL 65m pounds for DARWIN NUNEZ. NUNEZ is out of favour at LIVERPOOL because his direct style of play needing a quick ball played down the pitch too him does not suit Liverpool's style of play.

NUNEZ is lightning fast and would be an ideal outlet on the counterattack for SPURS and would easily gel with the likes of Son and Richarlison up front. NUNEZ would be an ideal outlet for the passing of James Maddison as well. NUNEZ is 6 foot 2 and is an excellent header of the ball and scored some great headed goals for Liverpool last season against West Ham and Man Utd.

POSTECOGLOU and DANIEL LEVY should make this 65m offer for NUNEZ to LIVERPOOL before this week is out.

Hi Ed could you please share who spurs have an interest in for this transfer window? Fingers crossed as looking like Kane could leave.

{Ed002's Note - Hugo Lloris (G) Signed a two year extension but Spurs could look to a replacement this summer with a year to run. Lloris will have options in the Middle East.
Pedro Porro (RB) Spurs will take up their option to buy.
Ben Davies (LB) Available but will be tough to find a buyer.
Sergio Reguilion (LB) Will look to sell.
Eric Dier (CB) Available but will be tough to find a buyer.
Clement Lenglet (CB) Not worked out and will return to Barcelona in the summer to be sold on.
Davinson Sanchez (CB) Available but will be tough to find a buyer.
Harry Winks (DM) Will be sold.
Tanguy N'Ddombele (DM/CM) Will look to sell.
Giovani Lo Celso (CM) Will be sold.
Ryan Sessegnon (LWB/LW/LM) Available but will be tough to find a buyer.
Bryan Gil (LW) Probably available.
Arnaut Danjuma (LW) A mistake and will return to Villareal in the summer to be sold on.
Heung-min Son (LW/AM/F) 31 by the start of next season means age is against him. Barcelona could offer an option if the fee could be spread out and wages are reasonable.
Ivan Perisic (LW/M) Available. Last year of his contract.
Lucas Moura (RW) Out of contract in the summer and will leave as a Free Agent.
Out of contract in the summer and will leave as a Free Agent
Richarlison (W/F) Spurs are aware of what a vile jerk Richarlison is and will look to recover what they can by selling him or look to a part exchange if an interested side can be found.
Joe Rodon (F) Will move on.
Son Heung-min (F) Huge offer from Saudi Arabia.
Harry Kane (S) Bayern Munich and Manchester United remain interested in the player and I expect Bayern Munich to make a very significant offer whilst Manchester United could look to their other targets - but Kane remains first choice but a move seems unlikely. PSG will offer an option. Real Madrid have identified a number of options to replace Benzema including Kane but have preferred options that they will likely to look at others first. Pochettino may want to take him to Chelsea but they also have other targets. Spurs will not want to sell and perhaps the new coach will persuade him to stay, but Spurs may have to reluctantly accept his departure but could look to keeping him one more year.

Kevin Mier (G) Plays for Columbian side Nacional but Spurs are keen.
David Raya (G) Not first choice, but a good option for Manchester United. Chelsea should not be discounted. Won't sign a new contract. Spurs stepped back due to the price.
Illan Meslier (G) Manchester United, Spurs and Chelsea maintain an interest in the French GK.
Jordan Pickford (G) Everton have FFP, Sustainability and Ownership issues which means that they may now listen to offers for Pickford, but prior interest has largely shifted. Not first choice for Spurs but the may offer a solution but they are dealing with recruiting a new coach that could shift their interest, and he would perhaps be only third choice for them. I am not aware of the player seeking a move and Manchester United have moved on to much preferred options.
David Raya (G) Not first choice, but a good option for Manchester United. Chelsea should not be discounted. Won't sign a new contract. Spurs stepped back due to the price.
Guglielmo Vicario (G) Moved to Spurs from Empoli.
Pedro Porro (RB) Spurs will take up their option to buy.
Denzel Dumfries (RB) Bayern Munich interest has gone. Inter offered him to Chelsea as a CA replacement - and that may yet be an option but Chelsea opted for another. Arsenal could be interested as they have been playing Ben White out of his natural CB position. Spurs and Manchester United offer wildcard options.
Destiny Udogie (LWB) A Conte pick joining Spurs in the summer from a loan at Udinese.
Aymeric Laporte (CB) PSG will make an offer. Spurs will try and sell their project. Barcelona offer an option but will need to agree sales first. A wildcard would be Chelsea if they fail to sign their first choice.
Castello Lukeba (CB) Lyon youngster scouted by Spurs and Torino and discussed with Chelsea with Lyon keen to take a Chelsea player at a nominal fee.
Perr Schuurs (CB) Only signed from Ajax last summer and an enquiry from Spurs was met with a not for sale - but a €50m would make them listen. I doubt any club would value him at half that but Manchester United, and ten Hag knows him well, and Liverpool have sent scouts.
Roger Ibanez (CB) Spurs remain interested.
Robert Renan (CB) Will look to leave but payment to Zenit is difficult. Spurs may offer an option.
Giorgio Scalvini (CB/DM) Chelsea, Manchester City, Inter, Spurs, Juventus and Southampton have shown an interest in the young centre back who has also covered for Koopmeiners as a DM this season. Southampton can be discounted, and probably Spurs with the Italian management gone. Napoli and Atletico offer wildcard options.
Marc Guehi (CB) Arsenal has a declared interest but prior interest of Spurs will eb awaiting a new coach. Chelsea have a first refusal but it is doubtful they would invoke it and will be happy to take funds from the sell on clause.
Fikayo Tomori (CB) Milan has no interest in selling but a return to Chelsea was suggested during discussions between the clubs over two other players. Manchester United have had a very high-end third-party scout watching him on their behalf. Conte was keen but has since left Spurs.
Micky van de Ven (CB) Dortmund and Arsenal spoke with Wolfsburg in January and were told he will be agreeing a new contract which he did in March. Liverpool and Manchester City were at a game against Dortmund in November - I had assumed to watch JB but van der Ven scored that day. Team Mino after agreeing a new deal so a sale this summer seems unlikely still but Schmadtke knows the player and knows Wolfsburg would welcome a significant profit on what they paid, so they may now press. Sprurs have declared an interest. Bayern Munich will look to an offer if Wolfsburg put him up for sale but know he could be priced out of a move. Moritz Jenz is not his replacement.
Pau Torres (CB) Villareal are stll struggling financially and will sell at the right price. Manchester City had him as an option and they still need a major CB addition but interest may have waned. Manchester United had him as first choice, but purchased Varane instead but may chase again with departures imminent. Barcelona has a sustained interest but price will likely be an issue and they may look to horse trade some players - but priorities will be elsewhere. Bayern Munich, chelsea and PSG interest has moved on. Real Madrid wanted Torres to replace Ramos but do not want to get in to an auction. Spurs have had sustained interest since Mr Mourinho was coach - and have spoken with the club. Any interest of Arsenal will depend on departures.
Kim Min-jae (CB) Napoli are not looking to sell but there is interest from Manchetser United and possibly still Spurs.
Alessandro Bastoni (CB) On the list for Chelsea but behind Gvardiol. Spurs interest may remain due to Paritici.
Jurrien Timber (CB) Manchester United and Spurs remain keen - price will be huge if Ajax agree to sell and will not be first chpoice for either club.
Rani Khedira (DM) Wolves see RK as a possible Neves replacement whist Spurs, West Ham and Leicester have sent scouts. A WP may be a struggle to get.
Manuel Ugarte (DM) Interest of Leeds went when Sporting refused to negotiate a reduction in his buy out clause and now want to give him a new contract and increase it. Wolves, Spurs and PSG have shown an interest but none will meet his €60M buy out clause and Spurs have moved on to other targets. Barcelona and Newcastle offer wildcard options and are keen.
Mo Dahoud (CM/DM) Leicester City, West Ham and Spurs all see MD as an alternative to Rani Khedira and Morten Hjulmand. His agent says Atletico, Roma, Milan and Napoli have also approached him about taking him as a Free Agent in the summer. Turkish clubs will perhaps offer the best financial solution. Absolute wilcard may see Arsenal look to him depending on departures.
Anton Stach (DM/CM) Mainz are aware that Spurs and West Ham are scouting DM players for the summer and that both have sent scouts to watch Stach. West Ham are beginning to recognise the reality of losing Declan Rice and need to improve their recruitment methods that see them stumble from window to window. Mainz will listen to offers as they look to trim their bloated squad.
Morten Hjulmand (DM) Young Danish DM player who is attracting significant attention. Spurs have sent scouts, as have Brighton, Leeds, Brentford and West Ham who are facing the reality of losing Declan Rice in the summer. Southampton had an offer rejected in January. A number of Italian sides, including Juventus and Atalanta, have taken note, and if Mr Mourinho were to remain at Roma he may well look to an offer.
Franck Kessie (CM) Not working out - available. Inter or Spurs may offer a solution.
James Ward Prowse (CM/AM) Newcastle and Spurs offer options but the Spurs interest being maintained will depend on a new coach. Has a long-term contract and Southampton will resista sale.
James Maddison (AM/CM) Leicester will look to keep Maddison knowing Tielemans is leaving but know that relegation will make life tough. Newcastle have had an offer rejected last summer and will return with another. Arsenal has a declared interest but maybe want to include Smith-Rowe in a deal and Spurs may test the waters again with other PL sides sending scouts - but a fee of £40M plus will put most off.
Harvey Barnes (W) Of interest to Spurs.
Nicolo Zaniolo (W) Moved to Galatasaray in January 2023 but the could cash in if Spurs or Milan offer his release clause. Spurrs interest will go if Conte departs.
Manor Solomon (W) Spurs are keen on the Fulham player but the change of management may impact that.
Dejan Kulusevski (RW) Spurs will likely take up their option to buy him.
Jesper Lindstrom (AM/LW/RW) Eintracht Frankfurt have said that they are aware of scouts from many sides have watched the player this season. These sides include Liverpool, Brentford and Spurs. Arsenal have spoken with his agent after spotting him whilst scouting another player. Spurs can no longer be discounted. Arsenal and Liverpool have asked Eintracht Frankfurt for talks. Newcastle offer an option. Even with a bloated squad, EF want to keep the player given they know they will be losing key players this summer.
Noah Okafor (LW/S) An enquiry from Nottingham Forest was rejected last summer. Leeds and Milan have a declared interest. RBS have no interest in selling but know his performances will attract a lot of interest not least from Inter Milan who are asking for talks. Juventus have been keeping a watchful eye on the player as a potential Vlahovic replacement. Spurs and West Ham have sent scouts to watch the player.
May have been noted by Liverpool whilst scouting another player.
Adama Bojang (S) Gambian yougster attracting the interest of Marseille, Chelsea, Spurs, Sporting and Ajax. Sporting or any Spanish side would have the best chance of signing the player.
Kyogo Furuhashi (S/W) Celtic will look to scalp Spurs financially if an approach is made.

If Conte gets sacked/ leaves, what is everyone's opinion on a new manager? I might be biased but Postecoglu has done a great job at Celtic and plays very attacking football.

You’ve had 2 world class serial winning managers and they both couldn’t win a trophy at spurs, so what difference will it make whoever comes in 😂🤣😂.

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your holidays are going well!

Ed could you please share who spurs have an interest in for this transfer window?

{Ed002's Note - I can only tell you where I know of interest - I cannot sensibly comment on the timings of transfers.

Hugo Lloris (G) Signed a two year extension but Spurs could look to a replacement this summer.
Alfie Whiteman (G) Out of contract in the summer.
Joe Rodon (CB) Will be available.
Clement Lenglet (CB) Will return to Barcelona and then be sold.
Djed Spence (RB) Not getting games - may seek a loan.
Emerson Royal (RB) Upgrade wanted - Atletico may offer an option.
Sergio Reguilon (LB) Loan to Atletico not gone well - Spurs will move him on.
Harry Winks (DM/CM) will be available.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) Newcastle have a declared interest. Real Madrid were to ask for a loan which could be attractive to the player, but that interest has gone. Conte is very keen to keep him so a new contract will be offered.
Giovanni Lo Celso (CM) Villarreal real want another year on loan, probably with an obligation to buy. Atletico may offer an option for the player who failed to settle.
Harry Kane (S) Bayern Munich have him as a potential Lewandowski replacement and I expect they will make an offer - and Spurs know it is coming. Manchester United interest remains. Spurs will look to a contract extension.

PLayers who have been considered:
Illan Meslier (G) Expected interest of Manchester in 2023 has shifted to others. Chelsea and Spurs do have an interest. Prior interest of PSG has gone, and that would attract the player if it returned. Bayern Munich off an attractive solution. Leeds will not sell and you can expect the player to stay where he is for a couple more years.
Josip Juranovic (RB) Atletico Madrid offer the player first team football whilst Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs can only offer him a role as cover but that may change at Spurs if Emerson Royal departs. Celtic have agreed a replacement already.
Pedro Porro (RB) High risk option for Spurs.
Milan Skriniar (CB) Inter will fend off an approach from PSG by offering the player a new contract to avoid him leaving as a Free Agent. Spurs have also been interested and both sides have been told a new contract will be agreed, although he could be sold in January if he continues to refuse.
Giorgio Scalvini (CB) Inter, Spurs, Juventus and Southampton have shown an interest in the young Atalanta centre back who has attracted numerous interest from scouts - if Skriniar fails to sign a contract in January then expect Inter to make an offer.
Sofyan Amrabat (DM/CM) Fiorentina were expecting to lose money on a sale but an excellent World Cup has changed that. Spurs contacted Fiorentina through a third party to take him as an Ndombele replacement in the summer, and Liverpool, Barcelona and Nice have had scouts watch him and have spoken with his representatives, but seemingly not Fiorentina yet. Agent has spoken with Arsenal and Chelsea as well. The player says he wants to move to Atletico Madrid and they are keen. Will be available in January but the price may be an issue. Unclear why Spurs would want as he is primarily a DM.
Joan Gonzalez (CM/DM/AM) Conte is keen to take the you Spaniard from Lecce but could face interest from Frank Lampard. Seen as a very good prospect but a Work Permit may be difficult to get initially.
Adrian Rabiot (CM/DM) Juventus are looking to replace their midfield misfits (Zakaria, Arthur, McKennie, and Rabiot). They are looking to fund replacements they have already identified. Rabiot will, like every other player, be offered to Newcastle. A third party has been instructed to find him a new home and he can be used in part exchanges. He has been offered to Chelsea as part of a deal for any of several Chelsea players Juventus are interested in, but Chelsea want to keep transfers as clean as possible. With Manchester United struggling to find midfield players, he becomes a squad option but the wages being asked could kill off any deal. A return to PSG is seen as an option but PSG have preferred targets. Monaco is a good option. Approaches have been made to Barcelona - but they will look to others, and Arsenal who have a much preferred target. Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle and Spurs may provide unlikely wildcard options.
Weston McKennie (CM) Fiorentina would like to take the player and Juventus are looking to add a leading CM and need to raise funds and offload Weston McKennie, Zakaria, Arthur and Rabiot. A representative of Juventus was in London for talks with Chelsea over another player and was asked to meet with West Ham who have declared an interest. I am not so sure the player would be interested. Spurs have declared an interest in the player and it is possible Liverpool could take him on loan and return Arthur - that won't suit Juventus who want to raise around €30M from a sale.
Alexis Mac Allister (CM/AM) Brighton are not looking to sell the player but are aware of interest from Juventus and, particularly, Atletico Madrid. Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs have had scouts been attending Brighton games to watch several players and have apparently all taken note of him.
Dejan Kulusevski (W) Loan to permanent seems most likely in the summer.
Adama Traore (RW) Valencia, Leeds and West Ham have asked Wolves about his availability and it would not be a surprise to see some serious interest from Newcastle or Spurs. Could potentially still interest Klopp who has had the hots for him before. Wolves will want a new contract agreed. Liverpool interest has not gone away and Adama Traore is not keen on a new contract at Wolves. Someone has done a good job on Paratici to persuade him to talk with Wolves. Spurs would try and include a player in any deal. Interest of Barcelona will have gone following his loan. Everton had a low ball offer rejected but may return with a better offer - but a move will perhaps not suit the player who would want Champions League football ideally.
Wilfried Zaha (LW/RW) Out of contract in the summer. Spurs, Aston Villa and Roma are keen - a wildcard option for Arsenal.
Samuel Iling-Junior (LW/AM) Left Chelsea to join Juventus and is doing very well and playing for the first team although he remains in the NextGen squad. Juventus will give him a new contract to fend off interest from RBL and Spurs.
Ruslan Malinovskyi (AM) Interest of West Ham went nowhere - agreement between the player's representatives and Spurs for a move and all that remains is to make an acceptable offer to Atalanta who use him primarily as a substitute and will not block a move. They will probably shun any loan offer.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (LW) In late 2021 Torino, Borussia Dortmund and Lokomotiv Moscow were speaking with Rubin Kazan who said they were not willing to sell at that time. Previously the player had been watched by Bayern Munich and his agent had been hawking him around the Premier League clubs including Everton with, according to him, Leeds showing some interest. CA had been open to the idea of replacing Bolasie and Bernard with him but it was clear something was going on in the background. Remarkably he was sold to Georgian side Dinamo Batumi for money well beyond their means in March 2022. For 3 months Napoli and Juventus discussed a deal with his agent and on July 1, 2022 he moved to Napoli, giving a small profit to Dinamo Batumi. A move to Spain with Real Sociedad was ruled out. Paratici had originally identified him for Juventus and it is was surprise Spurs did not follow up, but that may well have changed. Roma waited too long to be a viable option. The transfers are potentially going to be looked at by UEFA. Don't rule out Real Madrid, Manchester City or Chelsea looking at taking the player who has also attracted scouts from Liverpool and Juventus. Napoli have no intention of selling.
Marcus Thuram (S/LW) Interest of Spurs has probably gone after they added Richarlison in the summer. If Kane were to leave, it may return. Aston Villa have enquired after his availability and Crystal Palace looked at him as a Zaha replacement, but both can be discounted. Arsenal interest has gone. Juventus have been scouting the player but have concerns over persistent knee injuries. Inter are still hovering around the player. Atletico may look to him as a Cunha replacement.
Randal Kolo Muani (F) Eintracht Frankfurt have said they rejected an approach from Spurs for the player they only signed in the summer. Representatives are trying to set up a deal with Bayern Munich.

Thanks a ton Ed!

Also wanted to understand your opinion of Eric Dier. It’s tough for non football trained eyes to understand how good he actually might be, with him being constantly maligned every game - what do you think of his abilities at CB?

{Ed002's Note - I don't have thoughts on Dier or any other young men.}

Agree0 0Disagree

28 Dec 2022 09:34:19
Is he good enough to be a starter at a club wanting to challenge for trophies?

{Ed002's Note - I doubt any club challenging for trophies would look to buy Dier.}

Jamie o hara you said spurs signing Bissouma proves players would rather sign for spurs than Arsenal. Now do you see why Arsenal didn't want him? He was absolutely pony against top teams. Not like him to talk complete nonsense.

Any whispers on potential in ns and outs in the last few days? Seems like a few are being moved on finally.

{Ed002's Note - Potential departures, some as loans:
Sergio Reguilon (LB) Not happy and wants to return to Madrid. Enquiry from Brighton. Loan to Atletico.
Japhet Tanganga (CB) Milan want a loan but that does not suit Spurs without an obligation to buy.
Harry Winks (DM/CM) Spurs told interested sides last summer that he was not for sale but if the player were to ask to leave the coach would be supportive of that. If West Ham were to sell Rice they might offer an option - as perhaps Manchester United might as a possible Matic replacement. Leicester might also be a possible destination if they were to lose Ndidi, but they have a preferred target in mind. Southampton, Sevilla and Crystal Palace have declared an interest. He would provide an interesting option for Everton but they would need departures first. Offered to Leeds. Will likely leave in the summer. Loan to Sampdoria.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) Newcastle have a declared interest. Real Madrid may ask for a loan which could be attractive to the player. Conte is very keen to keep him.
Bryan Gil (W) Marseille and Sampdoria want a loan. Valencia are keen.

In terms of possible arrivals, a late offer for a CB perhaps. Want Trevoh Chalobah but that won't happen with other departures at Chelsea. Ilya Zabarnyi of Dinamo Kiev might then be an option.
James Garner (DM) Could push to leave as their is no future mapped out. Nottingham Forest may still look to a permanent transfer after promotion. Southamton are a potential option as they look to competition for Oriol Romeu. Everton have prefered options but may be a solution. Spurs are perhaps a possibility. Leeds interest has gone after signing another. Manchester United may look to a loan rather than a sale.
Ruslan Malinovskyi (AM) wanted by Spurs who will pay more than Marseille - but they will give more game time. Not interested in Nottingham Forest.
Adama Traore (RW) I suspect he will stay where he is, but Conte has an interest.
Daniel James (RW) Leeds could be tempted by a reasonable offer. Spurs and Crystal Palace have an interest.}
