Hey Ed,

What's the news with Walker leaving? Heard a lot of gossip and reading between the lines with him on the bench a lot lately wondering if there's any truth to it? (If there is, any insight into who his replacement would be? )

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City have spoken with Spurs about KW but I don't know of anyone else having had any sort of discussions with Spurs just yet.}

Guardiola usually gets his man, so I see this deal happening. The question is who can we steal on the deal, and what amazing price can Levy secure?

I would love to see Iheanacho + £50m.

Ed,

If Walker leaves, is the plan to have Trippier in the starting role or have Spurs been scouting for another player to fill that role?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know, sorry.}

Agree with T-T-I-D. Makes no sense selling Dier when he forms such a strong part of the culture of the team (plus Deli and him are huge mates) , he has strong leadership and I think his versatility is under-rated.
As for Di Maria, absolute pie in the sky. He would need to take a considerable pay cut to come and I don't think he's a good culture fit for the he team in terms of personality.

Hang on Oracle, there's still a stadium to pay for and as Poch said, we'll only sell those we want to sell. Sad that Walker's going, but he is replaceable. Dier isn't going anywhere.

As for players coming in, a replacement rb is obvious now and apart from a winger, what starting position is a desperate fill?

It's about depth and development. Let's give them some time on this. We got some good signings last year and with 1-2 solid (not necessarily incredible) signings we'll be hundreds.

The last time City sold us a striker and agreed to pay was Adebayour (apologies if I got the spelling wrong) . I don't remember that ending well.

I thought Fazio and Bentalab were loan to buy and had both played the required games for the loan to be permanent?

Agree re: Zaha and Barkley, but that's a lot of cash and apart from one crazy year, we've never done big spend. That big spend didn't work out, so I doubt a big spend will happen in the near future.

I suspect Sissoko will be replaced (Levy magic surprise time? ) , and if Walker leaves then he'll be replaced as well, but I don't think we're going to go fm crazy and buy 3-4 players. Replacements yes, but possibly only one of Zaha or Barkley (if they don't sign new contracts) .

Lamela may be on his way out based on how Walker is rumoured to be treated once he wanted to leave, but that's a shame as he was showing how good he is.

Let's just say in Potch we trust.

Sorry MK, I seem to have addd this to your post rather than adding it separately. Apologies for that. Would be great if we get Bernard as he's def class and would be great to see bale playing off the striker.
