Was having a debate earlier with a few mates about what clubs are run the best and would like to know what over people's views are, eds who do you think?

Oh sorry I thought you meant things like the books balancing best stadium and although less successful in recent years than usual now in a very healthy position both on and off the pitch.
In that case the answer has to be either Manchester United with their billions of debt or debt free Newcastle with their continued success year after year :-).

How come most of Arsenal fans are always moaning that you don't buy enough then and Wenger out? Where's all your academy players that Wenger is supposed to be famous for. You buy 40m players and you struggle to beat Reading lol. Porto is an excellent club.
Who said you have the best stadium? There is no atmosphere there at all other than from the away fans. When our stadium is built I bet it will be better than yours, add to that our world class training centre not bad for little old Tottenham hey.

No mate you didn't say spurs but the obvious answer is Arsenal, if and when your stadium is built we can take another look but there's a lot of CL places cups and relegations between now and the stadium actually existing and being paid for that will contribute to your success or failure.
Fact is The Emirates is a magnificent stadium that cost a fortune to build but we have built it and paid for it while maintaining CL football and are now able to buy players we wanted but couldn't afford in the past.
Come on mate hate us all you like but you can't deny how well our club is run even if you wish it wasn't.

I Hate to admit it but L'Arse would be one of the top contenders for best run club.
What is your logic for Porto Dom? Are they financially secure as a club, have a new stadium, constantly in the CL?

Thanks yellow, although we are rivals we shouldn't let that blind us to reality, if Arsene had joined you and not us 18 years ago or the city owners had bought spurs instead of them things might be very different today.
But as things stand love or hate Arsenal no one can deny we are a very well run club and be taken seriously.

I remember when you were paying off your stadium plenty of your fans going on about a pot of money being available for Wenger but he refused to use it, even when players were available like eg Lars Bender as you were crying out for a defensive midfielder. I also remember plenty of your fellow fans wanting David Dein back so i'm wondering why?

Google Porto outsideoftheboot.com if you can, they explain Porto's methods far better than me. They do have debt but imo are fantastically run and do what tgey have to do to compete with the big boys in the cl. Their catchment area of fans is quite small so they punch way above their weight.

I never want us to lose being an avid spurs fan but if we don't win our next game I hope we go on a losing run after that and avoid europa league next season.
I don't if its just me but what is soo good about ryan mason? Maybe its because he is the best of the rest after capoue et al have flopped but I fail to see why he is rated soo highly.

Its most deffinately a punishment competition that's for sure, I totally agree with Poch if you play in the Thursday league your next premier league game should be on Monday, this would definitely take the sting out of being in it.
CL teams play Tuesday and Wednesdays alternatively and have Sunday option available so why not Sunday or Monday for the Europa league team's

We can't compete or come close to winning the Europa but we want Champions league - why do we think we would be competitive in that?
And, please, the argument we would get better players doesn't cut it for me, we have failed miserably the last 2 years at bringing players in. Of the last 11 or 12 signings only Eriksen is a constant in the first team - then young Dier,Chadli and Lamela make a decent number of appearances.

We were scouting him years ago but don't know if we have recently. I would be amazed if we went for him, isn't Tom Carroll quite similar and probably better? Plus the lad on the Derby site says 15mil, really? From the limited times I have seen him he looks good but 15m is ridiculous surely, maybe he is a lot better than I tbought. Liverpool were looking at him for a while, Inglethorpe told me that years ago.

Ings will go to a tribunal if a fee isn't agreed. I honestly think this is Levy making sure that the price is as high as possible so Liverpool don't bid.
{Ed003's Note - Bournemouth will get if I remember right £90k per year he spent there as a youth player and like you say a tribunal will decide the fee wherever he goes if a fee can't be agreed between Burnley and whoever he signs for, the cynic in me would say the £12m will now be Burnley's valuation of Ings but that's just my opinion.}

Our scouts have been watching these players in the last month, Kamil Glik, Florent Thauvin, Memphis Depay, Andre Ayew, Mo Salah, Johannes Geis, Luka Jovic, Fernando Llorente, Kevin Wimmer, Islam Slimani, Rafa Silva, Yacine Brahimi, Eduardio Salvio, Anderson Talisca. Apparently there are quite a few more that we have watched.
Would be surprised to see Auybameyang join us, he hates us!

I disagree about Rose. Defensively he has improved alot, ok its from being pathetic to good at defending but a lot of modern fullbacks aren't that great at defending. A lot of teams opt for attack minded fullbacks and their defending isn't as good as their attacking which sounds stupid being a defender but that's the way it is.
He is learning the game and if he carries on improving at this rate he will be extremely good. I wasn't just praising him because of his goal, he has been good with assists and crossing too. Time will tell but I think your being harsh on the lad, imo its our cbs that are shambolic and Walker when he has played coupled with the overated Mason and his inexperience with Bentaleb.
{Ed001's Note - I think your whole backline is at fault, they simply aren't working as a team to make up for their faults. The CBs are being left stranded by the FBs going missing and the midfield is not providing enough protection to compound the problem.}

Has Baldini accepted responsibility though, has he said something? I think the fact that half his signings will be sold will make his position untenable and quite right although 99.9% of football fans thought we brought a title challenging team.
Also ed do you still have the same opinion on Rose, you were extremely harsh on him a while ago? He has been our best player for a while along with Kane.

How has Rose been good? Yes he scored a good finish, but he still can't defend at all and that is his job. He is not a full back in a million years, but he is not good enough as a midfielder either. The sad thing is that people will just see the goal and assume it meant he played well when he was posted missing for large portions of the game. He has improved massively, but he is still not even close to good enough for a team aiming to reach the Champions League. It is because you have players like that in your backline that you look so shambolic defensively at times.}

Richards is injury prone but if he can stay injury free then yeah he would be a great signing. Bale once said he is the hardest opponent he played against.

What achievements?
Although I don't want Europa league so i'm not fussed about losing its the way we are losing. Our players look clueless.
Pochettino has no plan b and his team selection is worrying. Why didn't he play Yedlin as right back? Why carry on picking Mason who has been shocking for a while?
We were unbelievably bad against Stoke and Pochettino said ' the spirit was good when we went to 10 men'! Lol. Really?
Dont just pick on Raver spurs85 there is plenty of disillusioned fans out there.
