In my opinion, we are 'lost at sea' every target is slipping away, if the latest reports are correct - Foyth has gone elsewhere! Barkley is the only real target as it seems to be a match, but we are having to pay far too much (for a player with a year left on the contract) and his wage demands. I personnaly don't think he's anything other than a squad player.
As I have said before, our wage structure is holding us back, levy will not deviate from his path of paying off the debt in double quick time. Our ONLY hope is a sugar daddy investor. Otherwise within a year all the family silver will go! Nobby.

Nobby I agree with what your saying, but don't you think that footballers earn astronomical amounts of money, and to a certain extent Levy is right not wanting to get into the realms of paying absurd amounts of money to prima-donnas and money mercenaries. How can anyone need £250,000p/ w to live on its stupid, FIFA/ UEFA need to step in and cap wages NOW, how long will it be before we have a £1m p/ w player. The figures are crazy and only getting worse.

Kane our top earner earns a rumoured £120k p/ w and he is currently one of the best strikers around. Look at the like of Wilfred Zaha (£125k p/ w) , Javier Hernandez (£145k p/ w) , Harry Macguire (£100k p/ w) and all the others to many to mention who earn in well in excess of this amount. All players want hundreds of thousands of pounds and frankly most of them are just not worth it. It makes signing players at value for money very difficult, you cannot blame Levy for that, however as a fan I would like to see him be a little more flexible and speculate to accumalate. I do not want to see a sugar daddy at my beloved club, if that happens and we start winning trophies, we will be no better than Chelsea and Man City, and the majority of Spurs fans have all slated them about their brought success.

Footballers are no different to us thfc, if you were working at a factory and the factory across the road will pay you a lot more you would quit straight away for the extra money. It's like saying to the raver do you want to give up Stringfellows for the playboy mansion, I would be ditching old peter straight away.

Regarding the obscene amount of money that is thrown around on crazy transfer fees for average players and the madness of their weekly wages it has to stop, but probably won't, Alan sugar saved us from going into oblivion years ago but then refused to pay anywhere near top wages and so we had a well run club that had average teams for years, what do we do smash the wage structure and go for broke literally because our expensive ticket prices will be even higher it's a catch 22 situation in my humble opinion, regarding Ross Barkley BBC saying he wants150 thousand a week to join us, lol that ain't going to happen in a million years iftrue not worth 60 grand a week, vastly overated COYS.
