We do look so much better with a back 3 and wing backs. I wouldn't mind seeing Son as a temporary wing back for Rose. I think he could do a good job there, although its a gamble.

It's an interesting idea, but I have two doubts.

Firstly, Son has been in great form but the one weakness in his game is that he is prone to lose the ball. Given the way he plays, always taking people on, this is inevitable, but it does raise doubts about how he would cope defensively.

Secondly, he is a very willing player and will run himself into the ground for the team. Often Pochettino has to take him off for the final 15 minutes to ensure he keeps fresh for the next game.

If we ask him to do a defensive role as well as charging forward all the time, it will encourage him to expend even more energy.

Still, it might be worth a try.
