It's time for a few changes for Sunderland I would drop errikssen, Carroll and lamela for dembele, son and chadli. do any fans think Jermaine Defoe could still do a job for us he still looks the same player he did years ago. He would also walk back to Tottenham as he loves the club big time . he is still one of the most natural finishers about and won't cost much.

{Ed025's Note - i would definitely drop lamela raver, poor excuse for a footballer in my eyes mate..

Lamela is improving all the time and lastnight was probably our best player. He has improved on his main weakness which was being too lightweight and he gets proper stuck in now. Wouldn't say he is a poor excuse at all.

{Ed025's Note - you obviously see more of him than me rayray, but when i have seen him he looks mediocre to me mate..

Kyle Walker needs to be dropped as well, he really is a liability. Trippier should get a chance now and his crossing is of a much higher level than Walker. Defoe will always be the same, five goals against Wigan and then he won't score for six games, although he will score on Saturday.

For Lamela's price he hasn't lived upto his billing and I can see why you think that ed if you haven't seen much of him. He needs to score more and I think he will. Eriksen is the one at mo who needs to get a grip, I would play Onomah instead of Eriksen.

{Ed025's Note - i have always liked eriksen rayray, but players do lose form and he has been overshadowed by dele alli this seaso which does not help..

I get the impression MoPo prefers Alli through the middle, which is where Eriksen always seems the most confident. I can see Eriksen being moved on in the summer, he just doesn't have what it takes to take a game over and as I've said consistently he goes missing to often.

If MoPo gets a good offer for Lamela I hope he takes it also . I don't see him as a regular starter for any Top 4 team.

{Ed025's Note - i agree with all that yellow card..

I agree YC. I'd move Lamela on, he's got better but he's a powder puff.

{Ed001's Note - really? I think he offers something you need myself, without him you look toothless in attack, even when he is not playing well he draws defenders away. None of your other wide players help create space doing that, as no one expect them to cause any problems, and they very rarely do.}

Hmmm, not having that. If you look around the PL there are far better players in that position that do more than pull players out of position, Coutino, the boy at Leicester, I want more from a player than just pulling players out of position that's all part of the game. Personally I think he doesn't find enough space. Also wants the ball whilst his standing in the wrong place on the pitch.

Dr, Lamela is one of our most aggressive players now, like I said he gets stuck in so I don't get your powder puff comment. Lamela has also created more chances and assists than both Mahrez and Coutinho.

Sorry rayray, I don't know what games you've been watching mate. Aggressive he can't tackle to save his life. I think you need to check that mate, Mahrez has scored 11 goals this season. Never mind about the assists, goals win games.

Getting very confused reading this thread! Have some of you guys been watching the same Spurs team I have? Lamela has been one of our best players this season! Gives absoloutely everything, tackles well, is aggressive and has been massively improved in attack. I think he would get into most prem starting 11s in current form, and he's only getting better.

Dr, I did say he needs to score more goals but I'm lost with this now. I've watched almost every game and came away thinking how different he is to his first few seasons. He is completely different infact, very aggressive in the tackle and closing down and against Leicester I thought he was easily the best player on the pitch. If he carries on with this improvement we will have one hell of a player, especially if he can score more.

rayray / tottenhamOxspur

It's football lads, we all have our own opinions let's say we'll agree to disagree for £30M I expect more. One of our best players.
I'd say he must be about 7th or 8th down on the list of best players wouldn't you, So he could be moved on if we got £25m I'd take it.

Kane
Loris
Alli
Alderweireld
Vertonghen
Dier
Dembele - Arguable.

Agree with you Dr, whilst he has improved a lot, he still isn't a £25 million player, worth maybe half that . Gives away a lot of needless free kicks, gets knocked off the ball to easy and considering how skilful he could be, doesn't attack down the outside of wing like it's needed . We don't have any outside pace apart from when the full backs overlap, both our outside payers cut in which tends to fill the middle up . I am not saying this is a bad thing but we also need to be able to get to the corner and put in a cross . We now have a good young manager, an excellent spine to the team, and good back up on the bench . We need cover for Harry, and another creative player in the middle! We are doing very well at the moment, especially as the league is more open than ever before .
