As anyone else noticed that we always hit the ground running at the start of the season, then the hard training sessions kick in we loose a little focus . Get a few bad results

Then before Christmas we seem to sort our self's out and gain momentum and a second wind .

Similar to last season, we have after Southampton a few big season defining games, we took maximum points last season in similiar run of fixtures.

Spurs seem to have got a second wind they seem fitter and look as they are growing in confidence with a togetherness and team spirit fighting for each other .

Just at the right time and a few returning from injury .

Seems similiar to last season hope we kick on get Steele resilient and unstoppable .

We have noticed the facts you quoted, but unlike last year we fortunately have the Champions League and FA Cup to contend with.

The problem is this creates a need for a deeper squad which we are sadly missing. It looks like Sessegnon is up from grads if we strike. Alfie Mawson is easy to buy yet lowly Watford seem ahead of us in the queue. Mousa Dembele looks to be Brighton bound from Celtic, surely a talent we should be signing and letting Llorente go.

Lucas Moura looks set for Manchester United over Spurs. Zaha has made it clear he is staying at Crystal Palace. Barkley has gone to Chelsea and it looks quiet as Aubameyang seems Arsenal bound.

We really need to strike when there are clear talents we need to push on all these fronts. Mousa Dembele, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Ryan Sessegnon and Alfie Mawson would have given us the squad to challenge 3 fronts.

We have the cash and could flog Janssen and a couple of peripheral players like Onomah.

i agree we need a couple of outstanding players as we are fragile in certain areas . irony would be transfer window shuts and kane gets an injury , llorette = season over.
